The House is going to be tough with all the gerrymandering the Republicans have done but it is possible to pick up more seats in the Senate.

In this case, Trump is either stupid, or he simply enjoys being a contrarian (his usual MO).

This ties directly into a thought I've had for quite a while, which now ties into Bloomberg's money:

Make a long commercial--a series would be necessary--listing every Trump lie, failure, crime, etc. Show them often. Expose him as the lying conman he has been and still is. Remove his illusion (and delusion) of success.

    Rant probably in wrong thread.

I try to tune out Shyster Trump and his puppets during the daily COVID19 updates.

But one thing is clear: Shyster wants to talk about the money "he" is providing, but doesn't want to answer questions about the delays in getting the money to the people who need it.

We all want the COVID19 crisis to end in the best way possible.

That could mean Shyster Trump becomes a modern FDR.

It's not that much of a stretch.

I clearly don't like Trump. And I don't trust him to pull his head out of his ass and listen to the right people and take the right actions. But it could happen.

Had he done what was necessary back in December/January to keep it from coming into the US, or did more to help China recover and track the exposed outside of the country. Along with developing treatments and getting drug companies to work on cures...

If a US company does come up with a cure or vaccine in the next week or month, he could look like a victorious leader and help push the economy open again bigger than before. But at the same time, if the miracle cure doesn't happen and the Trump Depression happens, it would be hard to promote any accomplishments outside of the conservative base for what he did for the country. Now there are 60 million people who will show up to vote for him no matter what because their way of life depends on it. However, I don't know if the Democrats will be able to get enough voters to vote by mail and show up if this virus is still out there.

Coronavirus best memes and jokes that will make you laugh ___.jpg

It took several hours for President Trump's most trusted aides to convince him that Dwight Schrute absolutely could not accept the position of Corona Virus Czar.

On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, as Trump attempts to gut nearly every significant environmental regulation of the last 50 years that have been essential to protecting the nation's air, land and water, he and the missus celebrate Earth Day by planting a tree.

"As a sign of our dedication, we will plant a maple tree...renewing our strong national commitment to preserving the wonders of God's creation..."

That doesn't surprise me. Did anyone try to dissuade him from performing such an obviously hypocritical act?

    Would've it made any difference?

Oh, I forgot that Trump does not see himself as most other people see him. Trump's Narcissistic Personality Disorder filters and spins everything so that he does nothing wrong, never does anything inappropriate or flat out stupid.

Trump's behavior and actions might not check off all of the boxes for NPD (depending on who's doing the checking), but the checks that no one in their right mind could challenge are bold, underlined, and italicized.

IMO. And FTR I would say the same thing if we had Democrat president similarly delusional.

The question is if the rational Republicans can vote against their lifestyle values. And why the Democrats have made few videos like it. I've looked at the vote totals in my county for the past few presidential elections, and the GOP wins about 69,000 to 40,000 each time, but the numbers only have shifted to 65,000 to 43,000 in 2016. I have a feeling that a lot of them might do the same thing as Progressives did in 2016...they won't support their side's candidate in public, but will still vote for them.

And I just took a roadtrip the last few days around Ohio, Southern Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, and West Virginia over the last few days (isolated in my car), and the Trump flags and yard signs are already out.
