I'm glad...and at this point not the least bit surprised. I swear Aileen Cannon-Trump occasionally makes some sensible rulings just to help stay on the case, should she ever face attempts to remove her.

I still believe the Documents Case is the strongest case the government has against Trump: Trump is clearly guilty. He's already revealed every reason he has for taking the documents, what is left for his defense at trial (if it ever happens)? 06 Jan is certainly the more entertaining case, but how that plays out will depend on more than a huge stack of "Everybody knows what he really meant" circumstantial evidence.

Why the case was allowed to stay with Cannon when it was assigned to her "randomly" is beyond belief. When Jack Smith didn't jump on this immediately (action from Tortoise Garland? Hah!), the Judicial Powers That Be should've stepped in, even if it meant a tedious removal/reassignment process.

    It's already started.

Jack Smith presses Judge Aileen Cannon to leave Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s opinion on special counsels out of Donald Trump classified documents case

This' the opening Aileen Cannon-Trump needs to dismiss the case, and let another court handle the appeal. She can finish sucking Trump's ass, and let herself off the hook for the final outcome.

Taking the documents while technically still (lameduck) president could be considered,
in a serious contorsion, an official presidential act.* The crap that he pulled after leaving office should be more than enough to convict him.

    * The decisions then Pres Trump made when he knowingly took classified document should be considered intentional criminal acts not covered by immunity.

This vid is quite long (note--about 6 or 7 minutes are ads & promos), and what's-his-name speaks way too fast.

But it is extremely detailed, and
    definitely worth watching.

Aileen Cannon-Trump is FOS, & clearly stretches some SCOTUS minority (8-1) side notes way, way too far.

    It's worth watching.

I think Cannon might be feeling the heat later...since Harris rose, Biden is freed and Chump is floundering.
Ol' truism...winners write the rules. Losers get the hammer.

And there may be corruption probes into the Courts later on. (even up to SCOTUS level)
It's not like she hid it...nope totally sloppy and slippery. Bias galore. Made herself a target.
That Mona Lisa smile she has may fade.

    We could deport her! :p

Oh, wait, that would be if Trump won & she wasn't a Trump Rectum Cleaner. He'd try to maker her a Supreme (did we have yet another quid pro quo?).
