    I think it is really important that the chain of custody for evidence was broken when he left the scene after declining medical attention.

    I think it's also important that the fact that Zimmerman may have been beaten up by someone he was following is possibly being used to justify shooting that person. I think that's very important. I'm not at all sure if it should be 'ok' to shoot someone who is beating you up. Just like I don't think it should be ok to shoot someone who is stealing your car or your television set. Why should that be made easier?

    Yeah, unless you're a woman or another minority group that won't be vilified in the courtroom for deploying a concealed pistol, you don't bring a gun to a fist fight. Gun Fight 101: Escalation of force. I won't MMQB Georgie or bore anybody with self-defense scenarios, and regardless of those: keeps feeling like he did everything he could to setup himself up for a situation where he could play Urban Paladin 3-D. Like getting punched in the face.

    As Cynth said, the chain of custody is a total out-the-window joke. Heh, he could have shown up the next day with a broomstick broken off in his ass.

I think I'll just stick with the "high profile pop culture race-driven gun debate case with mega media attention; let's see if anybody can do anything right in the courtroom."     Eyewitnesses are notoriously unreliable. Zimmerman's already been tried (in the media) and convicted. Witnesses are just wantin to get with the program.

    Ugh. Even if he's innocent of murder, he's screwed himself in other ways.

    He was given 48 hours to turn himself in. I wonder if we'll see an O.J.-style car chase. I'd love to see a Bourne-style one, but beggars can't be choosers, right?
