Weddings. The most awkward of family-'n-friends get-togethers. And often purposefully designed to be such.
Baby Showers. Buy your own crap for that screaming poo factory. Stop making your female friends feel guilty.
Young children in restaurants. Tell me: if nobody likes the distraction, why are so many of the little shits there?

I don't mind football if there is alcohol-consumption involved.

 

I don't think I've ever seen a couple who've infantilized (sp?) a cat.
Not sure I've ever met a cat who would let itself be dressed up in a warm up suit and led around on a leash.
I think I'd hate that even more.

Cooking shows. All those reality cooking shows. They bore me to tears. I don't understand what is drawing people to them.

 

I can partially agree with this, more along the lines of complete disinterest than dislike. Watching hours of left turns sounds even less exciting than American football or watching a baseball game drag on for weeks to grind to a 1-0 finish in the 11th inning.
Now if I can watch the American Gladiator show from the early 90's that is a different story, used to have that available when we had Time Warner Cable as an overpriced provider for television.

 

Apple pie. Blueberry pie. Cherry pie. Basically any baked dessert with cooked fruit on it or in it makes me yak. Even just the smell of it cooking means I need to leave the room, if not the house.

 

I'll admit, I only like eating the crust of any pie but Poetry, you are the first person I have ever heard who didn't like the smell of a fruit pie cooking.

Pumpkin anything is yucky but worse is adults who dress up for Halloween. Dressing up as your fantasy alter ego is great but let the kids have Oct 31 to themselves.
Fireworks set off any week outside Fourth of July week. The year-roundness of fireworks has completely ruined the novelty of it for me and I used to love them. And Canadians aping the Americans on July 1st just pisses me off. And I'm Canadian.
