I'm moving a mile a minute...still haven't had the chance to get things done.

In the meantime, the bosses moved that project away from me...because they realize I'm busy.
And give it to another dev...who's busy too.
Only to run into the same bureaucratic/logistic roadblocks I did...haven't moved forward.
And I'm still guiding/assisting the new dev along, because they have no idea where's what...and I'm moving it forward.

So I get dinged for not moving a project I couldn't move, with a deadline that moved up a month
and I'm still working on moving it forward for another, who's now "in charge" but can't move it forward.

Say that 3 times fast.

Still need to get the damn carpet done...

First off, I don't wanna get outta bed. It doesn't help that I don't have to be at work today.
Then there's my to do list:
    -- clean out the refrigerator
-- clear out the pantry and pack stuff I wanna take
    -- pack the blanket closet
    -- pack more clothes
-- finish packing out the spare bedroom

    My list is so monotonous.

I've got to finish making a slideshow for my thesis defense. It should be a refreshingly nontechnical version of the paper.

I need to tackle the last day of my qualifying exams. I really just want to sing. Maybe I'll sing during the exam. That would be interesting.

I really do not want to drive 6 hours by myself through Miami to Coral Gables. Then back up to Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood Beach.
And I wouldn't, if there weren't such awesome people to hang out with and a dissertation defense to behold. But, still.
I guess I should go pack some clothes and stuff. Ugh.

I've got to deal with bedbugs -again-.

I think I hate my nieghbors. I don't travel. I don't stay in hotels. I don't really GO anywhere, so unless I've got a very small teleporter in that room somewhere they've got to be coming from one of my neighbors.

I am a master procrastinator...I put almost everything off until the last possible second, except going to see my SO. Lately it's been a long discussion with myself about getting my ass out of bed to workout. I usually end up negotiating with myself until I run out of time to do it before work. However, I have worked out the last four days in a row, which means I'm not doing something else I should be doing...

I seriously do not want to get out of bed and start doing chores, I don't mind doing the washing as the machine does most of it, but I hate putting it away.:(
The washing pile grows like cannabis, one minute its manageable and the next it's like a rainforest.

    Funny...I agree here.
I end up doing the wash load, since I can move around fast and pick things up.
I ask my wife to do the folding, since I'm bad at it (to her standards) & she's quicker.
Then I put away mine...I don't touch her, since I always "do it wrong". It works out.

The dishes I can never get into the habit of cleaning after I cook or dinner, never.
So, it's amazing how fast those can pile up...thank god for the washer.

But now, I'm begrudingly putting away/aside the piles of things we retrieved from our storage...to be put in the garage.
Man, this is going to be a pain in the butt.

My wife is out with her mother on a trip to the casino (mom's treat) to "get away from it all"...me I'm dealing with Indy's warehouse.
But she gets to put away & setup the do-dads/tsotchkes after...which she can take her time at, I hate and would be terrible at. (again by her standards  )

Still in the same mode...not "home-productive"...didn't get a chore done.
The shit went down at work, so I had to spend the whole night and morning dealing with it.
Now I'm wiped...and in the same pig-pen. Sigh...

Ok, I lied...I got one load of dishes put away...and started a new one. Woo Hoo!!

I have always liked this link to describe to people the way I work, and it seems that you may work in a similar fashion.

Personally, I find, assholes who just do what needs to be done, are less-than-motivated toward more than themselves...
One of a few select differences & issues I take w/ people in the world...
But that's only because I live my a service-type philosophy (service to human-kind, not service to fuck-me-501c3).

Hopefully this merges w/ my last post...
There's another great article I've read & forward to people (hopfully not gone / missing from the internet)... about what motivates people...

The premise / point of the article is that sometimes it's extremely helpful to an organization to boost employee morale by letting them spend work-time to do personal things of interest related to the work place...

Case & Point: The kick-ass shit that Tha Goog brings to us, via allowing their employees 20% of their work-time to work on side projects (Google motivated / related / interested, of course).
