This thing makes me feel ridiculous and makes the most aggravating (and surprisingly loud) rattling. Doesn't help that they didn't really tell me what to do with it other than "breathe in through it ~3-4 times".

I should have gotten my spanish and algebra homework done this morning before work so I can devote the weekend to chemistry.
I got through exactly two algebra problems.
    Not good.

Exhale as strongly as you can, completely emptying your lungs each time. It goes with a peak flow meter, helps to improve your breathing.

Actually it's designed exclusively for inhaling, and the happy face in the blue rectangle is a measure to make sure you don't do so as strongly as possible but at an even and steady pace. Part of why it seems so ridiculous, I feel like it just looks pornographic and that someone, somewhere, has a fetish for this.

OK, my inconsistent side is rearing its ugly head.
I might get my come-uppance today.

I have a project due at the end of the month...do or die.
I got it back in February, easy shit...tech-wise.
Problem is I waited until mid-last month to initate it...and all the depts I'm relying on to setup configurations are dysfunctional...and very delayed.
So get to this point...I've got a status call this afternoon.
And they haven't totally setup everything...likely will do it today or tomorrow.
Then I can whip it out...get the bugs out.

Need to finish up a status report...but they aren't going to be happy.
We still need to beta test it...and communicate/coordinate transition to the updated process I'm creating.

Ugh, why do I do this to myself???
True, I've been slammed the past two weeks...and I'm exhausted by all the stupidity I've had to deal with.
But I had plenty of time to get the other depts' rolling.

Wish me luck...maybe I can pull this one out in the nick of time. I tend to do that.
I should stop volunteering for so much...

I have a roomba I use daily and then a regular vacuum 1-2 times a week. I prefer to actually scrub the hard flooring by hand though and I have heard the scoobas are really loud.

I do however really need to do laundry.. or buy more socks. I hate matching socks up.

I run the scooba when I'm out doing yardwork. Yeah, they are loud but they clean really well.

Why do people match socks? I've got multiple patterns of brown sock, black socks, and sport socks and I never bother with that nonsense. Just chuck them in a drawer and as long as you only have a handful of different choices your brain'll do a pretty good job of sorting things on its own when you pull them back out again. It's like folding underwear...

Though I do like the simplified man-answer,I just can't do it. I do keep threatening to at least toss out all of my white socks and just buy a dozen or so of the same exact style, somehow it seems to wasteful. Though, tossing an old sock on your hand makes for a nifty way to dust quickly.

Ok, I've got a breath of fresh air...
Rescheduled to Thursday...and got away with it. (a luckily timed failure gave me a good out...no I didn't trigger it myself, I'm not that bad)

Supposedly, the data repository is going to be ready by tomorrow afternoon. (cross my fingers they actually do as they say)
If so, then I can pull a late one or an all-nighter...whip it up.
And it will be ready to rock before the status meeting.

So tomorrow, I'll finalize the config/environ of the SFTP/decrypt app, the scheduling/automation app...
and those will be ready to roll for the ETL app when finished.

Funny thing is...I think I do my best work under the gun.

    Now, sleep. Ahhhh....

Tonight I should put away laundry, clean my office, and clean my bedroom. I'm writing this down here so I'll actually get it done. If I get it done, I will reward myself with writing time.

I have waited until the last minute to finish a paper and I do it all the time. It's the only way my brain works now a days. 400 hundred more words of nonsense.

Well...I did it...first status review over...now for the next.
Questions came up...I'm scrambling to answer.
Personally I'd rather someone else take this stupid update project...but now it's point of pure stubborness.
    So, it's a win-win situation...someone takes it, I win...I finish it, I win.
    Now for more work.

So, some sleep...then another chore I don't want to do...got my replacement part...so now it's steam-cleaning the damn carpets. Ugh.

haha you sound like me with steam cleaning the carpets, I'm very allergic to my dog, so I have to steam clean at least once a month. I love my little Jack Russell. He is my protector and friend, also smarter than I. Damn dog!

    I'm not allergic...but with 3 beagles...
well, let's just say they are active enough and have their accidents enough that I need to steam-clean periodically.
I could hire a vendor to do it...but I get tired of their scam/pitches at the beginning...just to do the $50 gig.
$350 does the same job...so why pay more? The machine I got makes up for multiple gigs or rentals. It's just some long-term labor for me.
Eh, good exercise...I just gotta get off my ass and do it.
I love my pups, but they are just like little kids getting everywhere, just playing or having those moments.
