I did like that doc character. I'm betting we see him again sometime.

Actually, as soon as she put that tool on herself, I knew. It was too easy.
And although everyone is expendable in this world...this character only is on the show, not the comic...and not a main one, so even more so.
(but at least we find out, the lead cop wasn't slow at all on the draw...there's a reason she's in charge)

I'm way behind y'all, and I've avoided reading any spoilers. The fight at the farm was pretty cool. And I'm glad that they explained why Shane turned zombie without having been bitten. The last episode tonight ended with them meeting the survivors in the prison. I'm guessing that Herschel doesn't survive being bitten.

  5. She was smart enough to know that doing that would end badly for her. She stabbed Dawn in the Clavicle. What is that going to do?

    So dumb.

I was hoping for a sweet, dying in Daryl's arms type of thing with a following stab to the head. All after she saves Daryl from a walker or an asshole. It would have been so much better. They spent all this time on her growth to only have ner needing to be saved and doing something dumb.

    Nah...she went "bad-ass" at the end..."justice-oriented"
she went from being sweet and unable to deal...to I'm going to do what I'm going to do...and if I die, so be it.
IMHO for this type, "Better to burn out than fade away" - Hunter S. Thompson style. (like Carol...but instead of staying alive and killing others...it's take down the BWOC and go out no matter the consequences)

Just another way to die in this weird & wacky world.
I guess the writers have a checklist...

That's right, she did use scissors on Dawn.

She obviously did not study at the ZombieSquirrel Institute For Applied Physiology To the Proper Technique of Scissoring your Foe in the Head or Neck school.

  9. I agree that it was "supposed to be" bad ass, but it just wasn't. It was quite flaccid.

She might as well have given Dawn a papercut. It was sad and a let down for this character that I had grown fond of. I wasn't expecting her to be like Carol and take EVERYONE out, but come on. At least stab her in the neck.

I need to form a school.

"Now remember class, aim for the jugular and strike with authority. We have a special suck...er..."guest" here today for this demonstration. Everyone say hi to Mr. Borla."

late edit: I agree that it would have been a much better ending for Beth if she had given Dawn a mortal wound in the neck that was beyond the limited medical facilities available in the circumstances.
I also think it was proper for Dawn to fire that quickly, she was a police officer for several years before everything went to hell and should not have that hesitation when her life is on the line.

'The Walking Dead' Spinoff: Everything We Know So Far

    Hope they do it right...

And I'd like to see an International version...y'know what's happening in Europe, Australia, Japan, Russia, China ...Africa and South America.

Each place would handle it differently...just as crazy perhaps, but different.
Would cultural mindsets come into play?
And actually, some may do better...just because they're less populated, more rugged ...or even used to "chaotic" less civilized environments & dynamics. (and not shocked by death as much)

  15. The Walking Dead Fan Petition To Bring Back Beth Gains Steam | Comicbook.com

I am of the "her death was needless or anticlimactic" clan.

I would sign that petition if I didn't think it would be a terrible idea to bring her back. I love the principle though.

remind me, did they shoot her in the head after the point?

  17. A shot to the head is what killed her in the first place.

I would have killed the Grimes baby personally. It would have been a crushing blow, another reminder of how terrible the world they live in is, and brought Rick to an even darker place emotionally.
