Loved the last episode.

I'm praying the finale won't just end up as a teaser of the full-fledged battle between the two groups. Such a dick move by producers.

 

I just... I want to cry... Merle... Zombie... I had sad face. It couldn't be Carl? Dammit!

Andrea

was not supposed to die. We have now officially left the realm of the comic books completely. The fired showrunner Glen Mazzara, also wrote this episode and afterward he thanked everyone but the actor that plays Andrea (Laurie Holden). I usually care not about Hollywood politics but this was total bullshit. I'm glad they cut his stupid scene of

actually getting bitten (repeatedly) and reshot it so we saw only the aftermath. Here's the video of the filming of scene that was cut from last night's The Walking Dead. Do not keep reading if you do not wish to be 'spoiled.' The video is totally awesome, tho.

My info is based on statements from 'Andrea' in a couple of this week's interviews and by the fired showrunner himself. I truly have no idea who they are going to fill Andrea's place with. They had already botched her TV character but everyone used to hate on Carol too--and blammo--give her some cajones and redemption!

I was so happy. All we need now is Carl gone. I wanted to punch him even worse after this episode.

 

Ya know, I would have said you'll never see Carl 'gone' because he and his father are the centerpieces of the comic book series, however after the hatchet-job done on Andrea, a comic book fan fave, I'd believe them capable of fucking with the story any ol' way they chose. So dream on, noodle --because your dream may come true.

I'm sure there are plenty of post-apocalypse twisted tweens that could take Carl's place.

 

Horrible finale that was barely worth the 40 minutes of boredom I spent on it.

Sure, the Governor killing his own people, Andrea dying and that the Woodbury people were taken in by the group were nice twists, but seriously?

What the fuck happened to the gargantuan battle showdown at the prison? Instead, viewers were given a lame-as-hell 3-minute sequence where the large group goes in unopposed, and gets entirely screwed over by a flashbang, some red light and two armed people. Who in their right mind would see this as a worthy substitute for the awesome battle that occurred in the comic?

So much lead-up and building the tension for the upcoming war with Woodbury over the past couple episodes, and then that? Consider me seriously unimpressed by their laziness. You'd think with a $2.8M/episode budget they could afford a few explosives.

Either way, I'm glad Andrea is finally gone. Too bad the nerd also had to go, but eh.

All I need is for Rick to bitchslap Carl, and the show should be full of good to awesome characters now.

 

I just wanted to see Andrea naked at least once... but oh well.

Is the prison going to be the new Woodbury? Apparently the people are gulable.

I was happy to see beth finally kill a Walker.

Hugely disappointed by the season finale. I mean jesus.... not sure how it could be much worse.

First of all, the prison "ambush." Basically it looked like they just wanted to scare the Woodbury militia. Rick's group had plenty of opportunities to kill militia members, but they were content to shooting rounds over their heads as they fled. What would have happened if that 50 cal mounted on the truck didn't jam during the retreat? Say good bye to Maggie and possibly Glen. Kill the bad guys when you have the chance, that's the lesson of the season (unfortunately I agree with Carl on that one.)

I haven't read the comics, and to be honest I don't really care that much for Andrea's character, but I was sort of looking forward to her and Milton possibly escaping and learning more about milton and having some sort of developing relationship with Andrea.

But no. It seemed like the theme behind the finale was having the Govenor kill as many people as possible (Milton, Andrea, his militia, and of course Merle recently) and then just driving off into the sunset.

I won't be looking forward to next season's premiere.

 

Then I guess I shouldn't tell you that the guy hired to play the Governor has been bumped up to regular (not guest) cast-member for season 4?

Yeah the 'war' was a joke. Maggie's supposedly such a good shot--she sucked!

 

It was so anti-climatic. All of that hype for nothing. Andrea getting bitten by Milton, she should have been dead a long long time ago.

Just watched S3E1 - 'Seeds'
Wow. Superb start for a new season. That thing at the very end with the walker and Rick's use of the axe was perfectly placed. I loved seeing the walkers in full riot gear. Most definitely going to buy episode 2 on itunes soon and see what happens next. I have read the graphic novel that covers this area but I am curious how the show differs.
Really curious how the girl with the sword plays into this script, or for that matter what her name is. That detail slips my mind from the graphic novel.
