I just got off the phone with my sister who informed me that our step-niece had a part on the Walking Dead episode that aired this past weekend.
    This is her.
    She's really quite attractive. :p
    Like her facebook page.

There's also more to her character than meets the eye, apparently.

  2. That's cool mixedmedia. During the entire time I was watching the first season, I kept thinking about how fun it would be to be a Zombie on the show. I'm still crazy jealous of Poetry and her stint as a zombie this Halloween.

I'm still waiting for a ZombieSquirrel to appear in this show. It'll happen. We're going to take over the undead world.

I suspected there was more to her that meets the eye as she's the best-looking female walker yet. She's got earrings and her hair is up!
Though it hasn't been mentioned yet, I believe she was Hershel's (young-ish second) wife.

Ah, here she is! I totally would have missed that!

She's on the fridge with the other friends and family that "Maggie" pointed out to "Glenn."

I am putting my high speed internet to good use and downloading the next episode now. No doubt this will involve that risky surgery or at least start that and drag out the hunt for the missing girl even more.
edit: this was a good reason to buy the 32 GB ipod - I think the 8 GB model would have been full or damn close by now just from the videos.

they have casting calls from time to time here (cause its filmed here) and from what ive read if they cast you, then they send you to "Zombie School"

If the show does the comics any justice you'll see why she does that. Put simply, she is not cut from survivor cloth. This happens at the state penitentiary where the survivors have taken refuge of a sort. The timeline would be IDK, 6 months into the apocalypse? There are plenty more awful things that happen, even worse than Carol going batshit and committing suicide by zombie. Sometimes the show deviates from the comics but in Carol's case the woman we see on screen seems perfectly capable of going down that road, especially now that Sophia is dead.

I have episode 3 on the iPod, just need to watch it now. Assuming the boy lives for now as he is a major character that is a bit too early to kill, they need to just find the girl or find the walking corpse and move on from that spot on the highway.

Just finished "Bloodletting" - powerful episode
grabbing the right tags for those who are at least as far behind as I am if not more
Riveting ending. Shane forcibly sacrificing Otis to the zombies could open up all kinds of debate. It could be argued easily enough that both of the men on the mission and the boy as well would have died that night if not for his actions. Is it better to die a noble death or do what could be considered a very selfish act and live?
Carl pulling through or at least starting to was expected. Sophia has to be dead from a logical viewpoint - she is "expendable" enough and finding her body or preferably in a zombie state at the right moment is something too good to pass up from a storyline viewpoint.

Yeah. Many of the aspects of 'Bloodletting' certainly are food for thought [insert zombie joke].
Without giving anything away, I agree. I'm sure it will have continued ramifications when AMC resumes airing the show February 16th 2012.

The thread about Children in Horror films already told me that through one screencap that I should have avoided that
they find a barn full of zombies that they more than likely slaughter and that Sophia is in that group, but that kind of thing is almost "expected" now and I would say needed on some level after all of the "let's stop everything and look for the girl" and the drama with Carl being shot and undergoing risky surgery.
In any event, I do not know how the group gets to that point or what trials and tribulations they have to go through first, so the "spoiler" factor was relatively minor.

I watched "Cherokee Rose" last night. The big "secret" at the end was what I waiting/hoping for after seeing how everyone thought Rick was dead in season 1 and what was happening before he joined the group. Raises all kind of interesting questions and dynamics.

Watched "Chupucabra", moves the story along nicely.
the ending was good and would fit nicely with that small bit of a spoiler I mentioned two posts above this. Perhaps I was thinking too simply, I was not picturing it that close but that does work nicely and
them finding Sophia that close all along would be grand irony.

Good way to end the mid-season. They could take that storyline in quite a few directions from where they left it. I think they should kill a major character early in the second half of the season to give it a good kick start to the teeth.

    thanks!
so my biggest question is how did sophia get in that barn?! did she sneak in and get bit or was she turned in the woods and then "herded" into the barn before the survivors showed up?

It looked to me like Otis found her caught as a walker in the bog and put her in the barn not long before Carl was shot and pushed the matter far to the back burner. No doubt he would have told Rick's group if he and Shane had been able to make it back. Which is a debate in itself with how things were looking before Shane ensured his own survival.

    well ok then, but...

wouldn't have someone else from the farm have witnessed something out of the ordinary like a little girl zombie being herded all the way from the woods to the barn, and shouldn't that person have mentioned it when the survivors were borrowing horses to go out and look for a little girl every day?

It is a good question but the best your gonna get is that Otis brought her in. Carl got shot and was dying and Otis was killed by Shane before he could tell. Assuming it all happened pretty quickly.

I don't think Hershel was lying when he told Rick that he (Hershel) didn't know--and neither did Rick. I'm satisfied with that aspect of it.
