Two million? Does anybody believe that figure is anywhere close to being accurate? How many different ways can you say grossly underestimated (do I need to add intentionally?)?

'Speaker Pelosi was right' -GOP offers rare praise over Taiwan visit

Yep, you heard it. Can't believe it.
Is this the peak of the madness of the GOP?

Too bad this is the 1% of the decently we've seen for DECADES. (and I used to be Republican, BTW...went Independent back in the early 90's)

    Let's hope this isn't a blip.
Let's hope that the GOP realizes they need to go to rehab after shooting themselves in the foot...multiple times.
Become a decent player without all the spit & bile
Stop the all or nothing no compromise mindset.

    Let's hope.

Dick Cheney calls Trump a 'coward' in ad for daughter's reelection

Ok, you REALLY look bad ethically if you've got Dick Cheney saying you're unethical...:confused::D

I mean the man was the "Sith Master" behind the scenes of GWB's first 6 years, until the dark apprentice turn to the Light side. ;)
Behind TONS of corruption and dastrdly deeds.
Hell, he even made the man he shot in the face apologize to HIM.

Basically sayin', I know I was Bad...but this guy he's BAAAAAD!
(* plus I love my daughter)
(** also he's fuckin' up the GOP and making us look like fools)

Return to the original sin. :p
    Vote Cheney

    Sad part...he's right.

Republican lawmaker: Abortion could hurt GOP in November if party goes too far — POLITICO

    Uhh, it already HAS!

    They just don’t get it…

The GOP and anti-abortion folk just doesn’t understand that MOST people want freedom of choice and the government to stay the hell out of their own business.
Especially when it comes to their bodies.

Which is totally ironic, since the GOP has always harped on FREEDOM and govt staying the heck out their shit. Minimal government.

Also freedoms of religion to allow them to do what they want with their bodies, including die.

But noooo…they want this to tell everyone else what to do. Hypocrisy be damned.

Too late, it’s backfired like a firework that created a forest fire.

The right probably liked the strategy of complaining about losing the Roe decision more than actually doing anything rational about it. Another group of conservatives just didn't like losing to the feminists and hippies in the early 70's I bet.

Because an honest anti-abortion plan would be to go after rapists, increase the amount of sex ed (including remedial sex ed for adults), teach how relationships should work, go after child molesting and work to prevent it, make sure all women know self defense, fix the military issues, and other steps.

From ‘lock her up’ to ‘defund the FBI’: How Trump and the GOP changed course on prosecuting political figures

Again we find that the majority of the GOP leadership and much of its members demonstrate no honor or integrity...no sense of fairness or hypocrisy.
It's NOT about justice or what's right...but about "sides". Tribalism at its worst.
    Them vs us.

They will flip the script at their convenience.
All done at whim...whatever makes them seem better and the opposition worse.
Anything they can rationalize...whether factual or not.

Makes ya yearn for the Reagan years??? (ok, maybe Ford or Bush Sr....conservatives with some backbone, soul and a sense of fair)

McConnell says Republicans may not win Senate control, citing ‘candidate quality’

If even McConnell thinks you can't win...and disses their own candidates....the GOP has got a problem.

The same man that's shot America in the foot.
Mitch McConnell greatly damaged US democracy with quiet, chess-like moves | Gary Gerstle

But even 538 is giving them just a 38% chance to win...the Dems 63% to keep it.

Hopefully this increases...as much we can to prevent the madness.
The House too, as much as possible. Every bit counts.

‘We got rolled’: How the conservative grassroots lost the fight with Biden because it was focused on Trump — POLITICO

Ok, get it through your thick conservative caveman heads (low forebrows and all)…

    IT IS ABOUT HIM!!!
    T is all about himself.

You are just TOOLS. (Pun intended)
    Dupes
    You’re being hustled.

He wants 3 things…$$$, Power and people talking about HIM!
Ok 4, he doesn’t want to go to jail.

You don’t count in his mind.
    Your party doesn’t count.
    Your wants don’t matter.

EVERY moment you spend about him
Is a second lost on your party, agenda, needs
And everyone ELSE getting sick of him AND the GOP.
That’s roughly 80% of the nation.
(Dems, Independents and part of your OWN party)

They don’t want to hear about him.
They think he should likely be in jail.
They think he’s a danger to our democracy.

AND They think you’re mad and stupid to continue to support him. No joke.

    So…
Y wanna get people’s respect and attention, much less votes…let go of the big orange baboon.
    KISS

    ‘nuff said

[Forgive me for a post that is only sort of related.]

The above reminds me of the National Rifle Association. The NRA went through a long period of socking away a Whole Lot Of Money. The money they (yes, it should be singular) brought in far exceeded what they spent. In 1991 Wayne LaPierre maneuvered himself, and some cronies, into positions of power that are nearly impossible to break. LaPierre slowly but surely started farming out some of the work that was previously handled in house; much of that money went to friends and former associates.

I see the GOP leadership doing the same thing...in addition to paying many of NPD Trump's legal expenses.

Democrats nominate established candidates; gain new traction on abortion — The Washington Post

Problem for the GOP leadership and strategists,
Is that they’re base has already found a taste for raw meat.
And some of their cooks in the kitchen, only know how to do sushi.

They are NOT going to be able to slow down or turn the ravenous hordes.
And they’re not going to be able to stop or replace the sadistic dogsled drivers they’ve elected.

Only now, are they going to find they shot themselves in the foot…
AND the knee, and a gut wound
IMHO, hopefully a head shot too.

They drove their base to their most “base” natures.
Making them like rabid ridden rats, if they weren’t already.
And in the essence of convenience and power, they put in players who’s whole shtick is screaming fear and bias.
    “It’s US vs THEM!!!”

    Except they forgot 2 things…
The US is the U.S. America itself.
And next, that in truth they only make up 15% of the citizens

However, of other 85, 35% either directly oppose them or 50% is tired and put off of the constant chaos, poor ideas and execution
AND become scared of the ravenous hordes, the big orange loudmouth in the lead and that they may lose their ability to vote…
(either by continuing manipulation or outright tyranny)

It’s not obvious, it’s not immediate
But the voters in most of the areas WILL finally have their say.
Not in the primaries, which is skewed
    But in the general election.
When most life worn folk finally get out of bed and from work…to spend a good amount of time voting.
(Since y’all don’t seem to like snailmail voting)

    It’s a slow burn.
    But karma is a bitch.

You have more faith in voters in general, and esp GOP voters, than do I.

Most Republicans I know will vote GOP...even knowing the candidate is a cesspool bottom feeder.

    True.
But the only way someone who's an addict will learn is through loss and shock at the pain it causes them.
German and Japan had to do this when they had a cultish population following the wrong people.
    Now they're good and better.
But it takes a long transition.

My faith is in Dems, Independents and those that are so pissed, they vote off party or even vote when they normally don't.
And from the recent losses, the GOP is starting to smell the smoke from the flames.
The abortion issue has got the opposition riled up.
"you better watch out...you might get what you wish for..."
