Editorial in 3 Alabama newspapers blasts Moore as 'unfit for public office'

And it keeps getting worse for the GOP...hoo boy!
Talk about Elephant in the Room...

Again...I do have some conservative values and have voted with the GOP in the past...
    But now??
Their tactics are vicious (and obstinate...)
    Their words outlandish
    Their decision making skills questionable
Their support for certain people are tabloid'esque
    They can't execute
They've forgotten to support the citizens instead fully catering to the corporations (I'm capitalist, but come on...)
They ignore any fiscal responsibility (hell, even give money to projects the Pentagon doesn't even WANT)
They choke off many minor programs that help our public in need
They still haven't addressed infrastructure (y'know those bridges and roads you drive on and more)
    Etc...

IF your own people refer to you as "the stupid party"...you're doing something wrong
IF your own people are saying you've gone astray...you're doing something wrong
IF you are supporting pedophiles and molesters...you're doing something wrong.
    And so on...

    Get your act together
    Find your soul again.

...and you wonder why you're losing now???

The conspiracy theory I heard was that McConnell wants Moore to win, but also wants him to be too toxic to seat. I believe it would give the governor the pick, and he would pick Sessions to give him his old job back and take him off the radar of Congress. Sessions would be happy to retire after next year's election. It would also let Trump pick a new AG, one that will do whatever is necessary to squash Mueller.

In the long game, they know that if the Democrats take over control, the modern Democrats will have to increase taxes. That vote can be used against them instead of saying some Democrat 45 years ago voted for this program and the tax revenue needed.

Opinion | The G.O.P. Is Rotting

This semi-conservative likes what this semi-conservative has to say.
Frankly, you CAN be conservative and still have values and NOT support something that doesn't have integrity (it's not just about "sides"...)

    Damn "them" Democrats!

Jerry Moore, Roy Moore's brother, reportedly told NPR’s Debbie Elliott:

"It might not happen on this earth right now, but Doug Jones will pay for what he’s saying. And them Democrat people that’s out there and those Republicans in Washington. They’re going to have to answer to God.”

It’s not about what’s right for the state, nation and citizens
It’s more like the Red Sox vs Yankees
    Hatfields and McCoys

    Them vs Us
    Tribal

Same reason the damn Middle East is a mess for millennia

The demographics of who voted for who are very telling. Voter turnout among Republicans was down, but Moore still won white men and white women. The Democrats need to figure out how to win an election, not just win when the Republican loses.

GOP escalates law enforcement probes as Russia inquiry heats up

To me, this is treachery. And it enrages my conservative values...NOT party or ideology, but conservative in that I honor our nation and its citizens.
    This is party over nation.
The GOP knows that Russia is literally attacking US infrastructure and politics...and provoking chaos, distorting reality.
Yet, the "pro-security", "pro-defense", "pro-justice" party are just throwing out those words...they don't truly believe it.
They're undermining our own intelligence and justice...to support "their side", their party, their agenda.
Not protecting the US from aggressive countries, like Russia.
Not supporting the investigation of a true attack and deception.

They only wrap the flag around themselves...NOT truly rooting out those that are undermining our country to the benefit of another.

Congrats, you have not only sold your soul...but you've sold out your nation.
And every nationalistic bone in my body is shaking at the consequences of it.

I’m a Republican. Why Is My Party Gaslighting America?

Written by a serious Republican (connected with Cruz and DeMint)
About the memo release the FBI is objecting to...trying to undermine the Bureau to discredit Mueller

    This is getting weird
And it's going to get weirder...

People are starting to question their souls finally.
    Problem is, they're being passive...

A discussion requires recognition of facts, not just anecdotes.

After being personally attacked and insulted with lies about my position , I'm done!

It reminds me of Trump suggesting the other day that Democrats who did not applaud his State of the Union address were committing treason!

This is how he and his followers continue to attack anyone who challenges their anti-women, anti-immigrant, anti-minority ideological extremism.

With the new budget bill the GOP cannot claim to be fiscally responsible...

As a matter of fact, the budget was always a red herring.
They spent more whenever they were in control.
They used it to get what they wanted. (or just to be spiteful)
They used it as an rationale to cut or resist the programs they didn't like.

    That's it...an excuse.

They're about as fiscally responsible as Veruca Salt.
