This has been cooking in my brain for several days. I have been dumbfounded and sick by the election results.

Just what the fuck did those
    'decided not to vote'
    ASSHOLES want?

I'm so sick of all these relatively small groups wanting their specific situations addressed immediately. The mix of entitlement & expecting instant gratification is sickening.

Harris didn't have a magic wand, & I'm not sure more Walz was the answer. I think they did the best they could. Verruckterfuhrer won because of the short-sighted voters who voted for him, & the short-sighted non-voters who didn't get off their asses to vote for Harris. I stand by my view the USA didn't want a female POTUS, especially not a black female.

    The one thing that
    might have/maybe/possibly
changed things was if Biden either didn't run again, or dropped out much earlier. I'm not convinced a white male Dem could've won the election. I also think we would've wound up with Harris anyway, & an earlier start to her campaign would not have made much difference.

Over half the voters in the USA are shit for brains morons.

Harris wasn't running against Trump so much as she was against the people who decided to sit this one out.
Trump got the same amount of votes and largely the same demographic as he did the last couple of times he ran.
Uncle Joe won because because a lot of those people voted.
That's what freaked the Republicans out, they had never seen those kinds of numbers before or at least since Obama's first election.
Did sexism and racism play a big part in the election? Oh, absolutely but there were districts where she lost by a fraction and minority candidates won so some people turned out to vote down ballot but didn't vote for her.
Should Biden have dropped out right from the start, most certainly. Trying to run a short term campaign like they did means you make a lot of stupid decisions and you don't have time to course correct.

But here's the biggest mistake that hurt her most.
They focused grouped the campaign to death.
Every time she made a speech or did an appearance it had been run through a couple of focus groups to make sure it would sell.
That is how you make really crappy movies and even worse campaigns.
She was never natural and never just showed herself as being real.
And I suspect the people they picked for the focus groups were older, people who insist that the best way to go about things is to be more moderate.

The problem with that is most Americans like progressive ideas as long as they are separated from the fact that they are Leftist ideas.
They are big supporters of supported Health Care as long as you avoid any of the standard buzz words.
They are big on leaving people alone and treating people fairly.
Most of the things that rile up the constantly online one way or the other really aren't issues for them.
They just want to feed their kids and afford a place to live.

They also spent way too much time saying how awful things would be under the rapist/felon but didn't really try to sell people on how much better things would be when she was in charge.
We may have read Project 2025 and been horrified but most people couldn't see how it made a difference to their daily lives.

She needed to go left and hard.
Talk about a plan for Gaza, talk about what she wanted to do about day to day costs, talk about what she wanted to do to make a better future.
She needed to make the election personal to people.
Give the kids a reason to get off the couch.
    Give the Muslims a reason.
