Au contraire. We send the likes of those (including Céline Dion and Bryan Adams) to appease your lowest common denominator.

And let's face it, in America, the denominator of which we speak is very low and so very common.

Could you imagine if these folks weren't entertained?

No, these folks we share with you for national security purposes on both sides of the border.

Long have our shitty entertainers kept the forces of American plebs at bay. By the blood of our people are your lands kept safe.

Canadian Official: Canada has apologised repeatedly for Bryan Adams.

I found this picture of his place he posted elsewhere to show just big a fan he is of this wonderful singer*, some might even say the best of the century**.
*does not imply actual singing talent
** "Century" meaning between the time of 5:12 am through 5:14 am on May 1, 2009 in a remote corner of Canada where he was the nearest human around for 75 miles.

I'm not even sure I've ever heard one of his songs. I certainly wouldn't be able to identify one of his if I did hear one.

    Can you say the same?

You don't have to answer that question. I'll just assume you are closer to Justin Bieber fandom than I am.

If "fandom" means picturing my brakes failing with him crossing the street in front of me, then yes. Most certainly. Ought to get me some kind of a medal or two.
Why do people like Buddy Holly die so young, but "artists" like this will live to 95 decades after their 16 minutes of fame are up. Even the years of substance abuse problems trying to cope with losing the spotlight and the numerous (likely failed) failed comebacks are forgotten about by then.

What are you talking about? In his short life, Buddy Holly was the Bieber of his time.

They were playing a Justin Bieber song or two on the overhead as part of the work playlist last year. Made me glad I get to operate some equipment that drowns out anything said or played at less than screaming volume (fire alert).

This is true. Parents/older authority types had the same view of Buddy and Elvis then.
I was speaking from the perspective of enjoying Buddy's music from the first time I heard it and always will. If Bieber's music is played as "classic" 50-60 years from now then the world shown here might seem "good" by comparison.

Well crap. Today our friends backed out of the trip we had planned this summer. I understand why, but it's still very disappointing since that means we can't go either now. He was providing the truck and trailer for our bikes, I was providing the hotel rooms. No truck = no way to get my bike 1000 miles away without two long days of riding that would make the rest of the trip miserable for Mrs. Borla. Boo.
