  4. Laying in bed, thinking about how exhausted I am. Like I'm REALLY freaking tired. WFH can be tiring. Dealing with the kids at home and children at work....just makes you mentally and physically tired.

Using actual meat, such as boneless & skinless chicken breast @ $1.89 per pound, in my veggie saute would've been cheaper than fresh portobello mushrooms @ $2.29 for eight ounces.

I thought that only lipophobic dietitians liked boneless/skinless chicken breast. I think it tastes like damp cardboard. Unless it is slathered with mayo, cheese, or breaded and fried. And then you loose whatever benefit boneless/skinless might have.

We only use chicken breasts (pounded) for Chicken parmigiana , chicken with mushrooms, or some similar serving.
Poached they are used for chicken salad....

I'm pretty sure I picked the wrong person to be living with me in my house during a pandemic.

I feel the same way for me. And I live alone. I kid. But my wife probably feels that way occasionally.

The main trick is don't overcook them, along with good seasoning. A marinating syringe comes in handy.

It makes for an interesting perspective, seeing sides of them that you might not necessarily see without spending that much time around them.

I, for one, probably would have not gone with a video and computer game addicted, a capella competition show obsessed, slovenly, borderline narcoleptic, grump-in-the-mornings shut-in who's always obnoxiously baby talking to her annoying-as-shit dog, knees me in the asshole in her sleep while spooning me, and with whom I have discovered I share very little in common, to spend this time with... had I known.

Okay, that was mean. But you get my drift.

I "found" some chicken skewers in Costco, already cooked, make a peanut sauce, warm them up and it's an instant good meal...

  15. Truly tired of being people's safety net. Both of my parents have passed. I'm my own safety net. But since the in-laws and some friends make horrible decisions or encounters bad luck (which seems to happen often) my wife and I have to bail everyone out. It pisses me off. I get it...it's a tough time right now. But it was like this before the damn pandemic.

We offer advice that Noone takes. But money? Oh yeah....they'll definitely take that.

My wife asked if I was mad.

    No, I lied.

Why would I be mad about cooking my own fucking birthday dinner? And making sure her steak was well done in the process?

I know it's National Dog Day, but my gf's chihuahua annoys the shit out of me just about every day, including today.

How did I end up living with someone with a chihuahua? Small dogs are not my thing.

I used to dislike small dogs, esp small chihuahuas (not real fond of the large ones either). Then we took in a stray miniature dachshund, and a small for the breed sheltie. Cool dogs, not jittery and annoying.
