fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

When I woke up there was 3.5 inches of snow outside and it was 24F.
We got just above freezing while the sun was out and now it's snow squalling again.
    I'm bitching because it's May.
We have had measurable snowfall here for the last 7 consecutive months.

Send it up, but hold the humidity please.
Did you know that in this part of upstate NY it's common for us to go an entire year without hitting 90F?

At about 25 miles from the coast, the humidity is part of the price we pay for the Gulf of Mexico protection. This past winter our area had maybe three frost worries.

The city of Houston tries to be green. Leaves have to be bagged up in biodegradable bags showing the city approval logo.

This AM they picked up my "approved" plastic bags, and left the paper bags marked Home Depot. WTF?

Maybe they think I'm hiding something in the paper bags?
Or they exceed a weight limit?
    Or they got wet?

The stupid thing is long before they started the "green" bags only policy, I bagged my leaves up in thin biodegradable office trash can liners. They're dirt cheap, and light in weight because overfilling them backfires. And if the amount of leaves is manageable I usually mulch them when mowing.

I like the way Mr. Macho had peaceful protesters gassed and moved for a fucking photo op. COWARD! How about instead of tearing up our neighborhoods, people start paying special attention to the Cowardly Lion's properties?

Careful sir, Secret Service takes that shit seriously.
As surreal and unrealistic as it can be.

But they should oust him ASAP
    I would love another impeachment.

Even if the GOP let him off again
Bonus, he’s the first impeached twice
2nd bonus, GOP goes on record as idiots again.
More fire to give reasons to vote them out.

Nothing is going to get done anyway
So might as well use the Benghazi method on him.
    Repeated tedious hearings.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

While I can certainly understand the frustration with Shyster Trump, I second the comment regarding be careful what violent thoughts you post.

We also have threads regarding Trump, the GOP, and the Election going in the Politics sub-forum.

Tonight I took the time to properly season ground beef, and broiled the patties the same time that I normally do.

Unfortunately the Kroger 90/10 ground beef roll (that we had to settle for) patties cooked faster than the Sam's Club fresh 90/10.

I'm pissed. Really pissed. Even my wife, who bitches about any pink in beef patties, thought they were overcooked and dry.

I received my order from Buck Knives, two caps and a t-shirt. The shirt isn't the best quality* but fits well and looks good. One cap fits fine, but the first two holes in the snap are too big, the snap won't stay closed. This will be easily resolved with some Velcro.

My main bitch: The cap I really like & wanted is too small, even with it unsnapped. And my hair is cropped short (my hair grows thick enough to affect my hat size). That style only comes in Med/Lg size, something NOT mentioned in their website description and order form.

Buck's satisfaction guarantee has a flaw, the consumer pays return shipping. It's not worth it for the one cap. My wife now has a very nice looking Buck Knives cap.

    * Why don't companies selling t-shirts know that cotton/polyester blends have less shrinkage, and better durability? I'm guessing they're just cheap. Someone we know who prints company shirts says the cost difference, esp on large orders, isn't that much.

    My Ruger gear arrived.

The really good news is I like the two shirts, and I don't think my wife will be able to "borrow" either. The polo is mine, dammit, it's mine! Lol.

The less good news is both caps fit OK but only on the last snap. Again I can rig the snap.

The bad news is Ruger wants the customer to pay return shipping, AND on refunds they don't refund the original S&H. What a great policy to discourage returns for exchanges, or refunds! And they don't take worn items back (this dates back pre covid-19), so if one or both shirts fall apart when I laundry them.......
