Metallica is going back on tour. I have seen them twice, the first time they opened for guns and roses and the second time after they released the black album. I have purchased 7 of their albums. So understandably I was excited about the tour. Until I looked at the prices. To just get 2 lower level tickets at sports authority field, row 33, and also parking for one car, $550. And that's not even the field where you wiuld actually want to be. So Metallica, from one of your fans, I offer a big fuck you. Way to recognize the fans who got you to the pedestal you are now. Fuck you. And btw, your last album was not that good.

I'm in the same position with System. They're touring this year but the cheapest tickets are still a few hundred dollars.

As for the ribs I broke them (if any broke) sometime in early january, I just figured the ship had sailed by now.

I can't think of a single band, singer, show, etc. I would pay that kind of $$$ to see.

And I've turned into an old geezer. LOL!

The creator of Cirque Du Soleil is now a billionaire. That's insane.

While I knew everyone always lauded Pearl Jam for being fan friendly, I guess I didn't realize just how good I have it going to their concerts. I've been in the pit or lower level for the last 4-5 shows in a row and always paid less than $100 for 10Club seats. The same tickets were, in some cases, going for a couple grand on StubHub and through brokers.

  6. VIP passes for The Who Hits 50... $500 each. I would have been happy just to be in the arena, but QW wanted me to have that experience. (Not complaining)

I think I'd only fork over that amount of cash if Freddy Mercury rose from the dead to tour with Queen.

  9. I genuinely dislike my extended family. My mother had two emergency operations. So I brought the wife and kids down to see her. Found out when. I got here that my aunt was coming on Saturday. Decided to pack up and leave Saturday morning before her flight came in.

The idea is to avoid nasty arguments. We haven't gotten along in decades. I'm resting. The house is asleep. And her daughter, my cousin, shows up. Surprise ! Smh. Nothing but prying questions about my mother's health and stability are on the agenda with those two.

Honestly, just wanted a nice night to relax and rest....Well....That's dead.

Metallica..I've seen them twice. I'd still pay the $500 if I had that kind of disposable income. With 2 kids I dont.

I last saw them in concert a few years ago for free...
but it was only a couple of songs for the one-time D.C. Veterans Day concert on the Mall.

Seen them several times before in San Diego, LA and Vegas.
    They're but not that good.
Only way I'd pay that would be a round-trip ticket for 2 to Vegas from DC...hotel room AND concert. (which I did for Prince during my bachelor party with my cuz)

I'm glad I got my concert bug out of the way way back when...don't feel the need to fork out tons.
Last one I saw was Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and Heart for $40 (bought the day before the concert)

I took the week off to finish my barn. I've been working on it for over a year. Still not done. WTF, what I miss most about being 53 is the lack of daily sex. I keep thinking I need a different partner to spark that energy. B12 ain't doing it.

I'd like to see pics of your barn.

As for daily sex, good luck with that. There are guys who are half your age, better looking, in great shape, with plenty of disposable income who ain't getting laid every day :p.
