The guys who are going to install mom's storm doors and trim her trees are not on time. Oh well, at least I made some calls to get things moving on some other situations.

 

I caught myself tonight absentmindedly rubbing the scar and slight dent across my forehead, and it got me thinking about my 4-wheeler accident in 2007 and the article in the local newspaper about it that pissed me off so much.
I found the article online.

I most definitely required EMS treatment, at the scene and all the way to the hospital.
My forehead was ripped halfway down my face, and it wasn't life-threatening?!
All I can think is the reporter must have gotten his information playing the Telephone Game. Jeez!

I can only imagine the inept and false reporting going on in the world about important stuff. It makes me sad as well as mad.

 

The company owner who is also The Big Boss knew that the storm doors were too large and would require some framing; he didn't pass this information on to the crew he sent to install the doors. Which meant they didn't have the proper sized lumber to make the frames. And they arrived over two hours late. At least they did get the tree branches trimmed.

So it's another--my third one this week--60 mile round trip drive for me this afternoon.

 

OK guys, it's now 45 minutes past 2:30.

So a bunch of people are mad at Colin Kaperneak (sic) for exercising his constitutionally protected freedom of speech. How about this? A football game is just a damn game. How about we reserve the national anthem for important things, and not for drumming up FEPA (false enthusiastic patriotic attitude).

 

They only got one of the doors installed.

 

The installation of the second door is set for tomorrow AM. Hopefully they, after all of the time they spent trying to figure out the first door, will have this one done quickly.

And that will lead to the final payment due. I have no intention of my mother paying extra because the contractor ordered over-sized doors (he knew they were too long from the start) and had to spend a lot of extra time on them. I've experienced many DIY jobs that turned out to be more complicated and time-consuming than I anticipated, BUT I'm not a professional contractor. We'll see what happens.

 

My GS is running a fever and has no appetite. Let me add. .....why is it everytime I walk into my Sons bathroom I just can't bring myself to touch anything. FAAUUCCKK

Apparently, the schools and our client load are getting hit already.
I just have to make it until my new pt appt on Monday.

 

According to a friend that oddball permanent bruised feeling exactly on ONE spot in my back is a bulging disc that's big enough he can feel it. Fuck me with a rake. So that's a possibly/probably torn rotator cuff, a messed up disc, and the usual fuckery with my knees. Oh and I might have torn a ligament in my thumb (hopefully just sprained badly).

It's like I'm getting the next 40 years worth of decrepitude all at once.

Oh yeah and the last drink or two from monday night snuck up on me and left me flipping my stomach inside-out for most of the night. I had my last drink at 2-3am and I was still drunk and unable to close my eyes because of the room spinning at 10am when shacharit started. Bacardi can fuck right off.
