    Seriously frustrated that the agency would like us to continue looking at other options for au pairs. We found our match. We are happy. She seems happy. We don't see any reason to keep looking. Wasting my time.

    Oh, that's why. Because the agency won't let us have her for only 6 months. Even if she plans on leaving the program at that time. They were hoping to drag us into another year contract by dangling her in front of us. Yeah... no. No thanks.

    Some businesses take that idea very seriously. They do things right often enough, and probably operate at a high enough profit margin, that they will allow themselves to be gamed or taken advantage of by the occasional unreasonable or predatory customer.

    Some customers cost more than they are worth with followup problems. And let me ask people. How many of you have actually said "the customer is always right" when in a business? The people saying that are usually unreasonable or predatory.

    The customer is always the customer. Right or wrong is seldom a deciding factor. A reasonable customer is easy to accommodate. It is with the unreasonable customer that you earn your paycheck.

    It's why I gave up on Facebook a few years ago. That, and that it seemed to be turing into yetanother venue for advertising. I use the login for on of my sisters to occasionally check up on family and home town. That's about it.

    Lay offs coming, I am busy. Shop Foreman came by my work area and said my name won't be on the list. Whew. ..no bonuses no raises and 40 hrs a week. Just fine

    Got to trim trees Sunday and that includes dropping more than a few. Cutting and cleaning up the debris. The area is next to my neighbors fence. So he can feel good about putting up privacy fence in place of the wire that's currently holding in his pack of German Shepherds. I hate doing work on somebody else's agenda

    Most every part of my body hurts ... I must have had fun this weekend.


    My eyes are burning from too much sun and wind.
    My butt hurts from 1000 miles over 3 days on a motorcycle.
    My shoulders are killing me from 70mph crosswinds on said motorcycle.
    I have awful sunburn stripes where clothing and/or sunblock didn't overlap.
    My knees didn't care for the descent while hiking on Sat, my lungs resented going up.

    Molly is a lump, doing her drooling bearskin rug impression

    Summer got off to a slow start this year, we're trying to catch up.
