While I can empathize, I bet your daughter doesn't think so.

My boobs wake me up in the middle of the night when they get full of milk. It's a frustrating experience.

Yeah. I know a lot of women do. Sorry. It really is painful, though. At least you were spared that pain?

Actually, it has been to some extent, at least in my state, and perhaps not in the way people imagine.

Here it's only available by prescription, but a decent family doc will give you enough to get through cold season.

Local meth production has declined, which is great for our environment. Mexican cartels are still bringing drugs in, though, and it's still a problem in that respect.

Started flonase today on top of a claritin in the morning and another in the evening. Tried to appease my girlfriend by leaving the box fan in the window. Even with the drugs on board it only took 45 minutes lying in bed to get a sore throat, congestion, and a cough. Shut the windows and she said she would probably be sleeping on the couch to be cooler. At this point I don't care because while I like to sleep cool, I have been functioning in a fugue since Monday.

Flonase is great. Just a note to make sure someone told you to make sure you drink water after or eat something small. It can cause some major throat funk and halitosis in some people of you allow the medication to stay after the inevitable drip.

Unless our Texas laws have changed, we have to sign for OTC drugs containing ephedrine, and can only buy limited amounts within a certain time period. The next time I'm at Sam's Club (they had the best price for the generic Sudafed Plus equivalent) I'm going to ask about this. I'm not paranoid, but I really don't like having my name officially registered for anything unless absolutely necessary. The document in the link explains the limitations, but it also goes into a lot more (boring) detail.

One of our neighborhood grocery stores is closing down. That leaves two options - a 10 minute drive to a good chain or 2 min drive to a once-good, but now worn-down, end-of-life chain. Feeling lazy and not wanting to drive for 10 min, I drove for 2 to the broke-down grocer. Looking for skirt steak for fajitas, I found ... *shudder*.
Their meat aisle was about 20 feet long. 5 feet of it was beef, all of which looked like the butcher sliced it with a Trailways Bus. I just stared. Ostensibly good cuts ... normally good cuts ... but I just couldn't believe. Really? They expect people to pay their small-store jacked up prices for meat that looked like it had been tortured at Guantanamo!!?? Not just the beef - the pork and chicken were similarly abused. No respect for the animal, no respect for the job, no respect for the customers.
Also, when I reached out to touch a couple of packages in the "cooler" they felt like they were probably about 20 degrees warmer than anything that was safe. So, I drove the 10 minutes, got everything I needed, then sent an email to the health department. I hope they shut down the sonsabitches.

... *sigh* - I tried posting this as a new, separate response, but clearly I don't know how to do that this morning. It keeps getting merged with my last comment. Time for more coffee, I guess.

I swear this day is ridiculous. Woke up too early, hubs still didn't make it out of the house at the time we thought. Traffic stopped on the bridge so we were later than even expected. Hubs had trouble at the airport with them trying to bump him and all kinds of crap. And, I tripped on the sidewalk and split the end of my toe apart. I squeezed it back together and am trying to figure out if I need stitches. Because I leave for Chicago in two days for a TON of walking. I'm. Terrified to ask if there's any thing else.

Companies are always advertising their competitive wages, but when everything is shit it's easy to be competitive. Fuck that. How about someone having the guts to offer a living wage? Cowards.

The House I started over a year ago is nearly done. Was a six month project, which I knew was not going to happen. Everything is basically done now except the cabinets, closets, vanities etc... This morning I met with the builder and he explained the money I paid for those items went to finish someone elses house and he's just waiting on another customer to pay him so he can pay the sub-con for my finish work. I told him that's not legal to which he replied "that's how it's done here." He basically said sue me and see what happens. I called my attorney and it's true it's completely illegal but he said we could be in court for years trying to prove it's so better to just wait until my builder gets paid by someone else and let him finish. Mi vida loca.

I'm curious, what are the laws in Mexico regarding recording someone without their knowledge and using the recording in court?

    -------------------------

    And on that note:

I'm going to court to testify about my wreck (Little Girl is fighting the ticket, and you can be sure that Her Mommy & Her Daddy are behind it), & I really wish that I had a recording of the conversations between Little Girl (who pulled out in front of me) and Her Mommy (who coached her on how to describe the accident). At least twice I clearly heard Her Mommy say "But baby, you're not saying it right, that doesn't make it his fault." But that's moot because here I couldn't use it in court even if I had it.
