NO...it's because computers are SO awesome that they expect that anything done with them can be done in no time for little effort...and no forethought.

What they expect from me...since they're paying me...is that everything comes out perfectly with little time...and no "annoying" questions. (like..."Where do you want to put this??"...etc)

I am SO unawesome that I don't have those "necessary" psychic powers that would tell me that they have a pre-existing system that it dependent on ALL the other national systems...that will come down if they get the upgrade they insist on.
Of course, I should know this without anyone telling me it beforehand.
What are they paying me for?
    I call myself an expert??
    How annoying of me.

    Now...does THIS sound awesome??
    Thus the term "unrealistic expectations"
Certainly not awesome to deal with...let me tell you. (wait, I am...see totally incompetent of me.)

Yes, true...but corporate does it too. So do other levels of govt, local etc...

It's because one of two things...
    1. Authority figures that don't know tech for the level they're working at...and change is not a priority. And they may even sabotage any idea to enforce their authority.
    2. Techs who have decided to take the territorial way, keeping at a certain level because it's easier and more stable for THEIR careers.

Me, I work very hard to be lazy.
I don't want to do it twice...I want to make it as non-manual as possible. Oh yeah, I document.

It is a full time job to find a nanny. And impossible to find one that wants to work legally.

If you're not doing it right, I will name names.

Not rude, not disdaining...but if you're not doing the voodoo...or you're not doing right by others...I'm not shy about using names, not vague ambiguities.
Then again...I'll tell you straight to your face.
    I'm not two-faced.

I assess with ruthlessness...but where I'm compassionate is that I share. I'm an open book, I want it to be better for everyone.
I'm not a hardass, but I am real.

Listen, motherfuckers... I pay your company several hundred dollars a year to do one thing: move my money from one chart to another and send me the results.

This is the second time you've sent my fucking sensitive tax documents to an address I changed 11 months ago. I don't know how you manage to stay in business.

I don't know what the software conflict is, but Google Chrome has been fucking with my computer since I switched over from MSIE. It pisses me off.

Here on TFP, links in quotations show as blank on my screen. Blocks of text randomly appear on the screen.

On another forum user names, signatures, etc. sometimes don't show. Quoting someone will sometimes show as blank space.

On eBay sometimes the prices, and numbers in general, don't appear.

Embedded images take fucking forever to load. The annoying embedded videos (which I hate!) download slowly and play in little bitty pieces at a time. Watch a few seconds, then wait 15 seconds, watch a few seconds, then wait 15 seconds. Try going through that shit while watching a long program, an hour long episode of The Walking Dead for example.

The Win 10 version 1511 patch seriously screwed up a lot of things on my PC, including Chrome. Pain in the ass to uninstall. Not sure if that applies; but it's worth bitching about all by itself.

I hate the sound of little diesel engines. They always sound like they are about to break down. Even a new one has that crappy clatter. Never mind the stink, soot, and lack of power.

My engine is the bomb. Throaty. And zero smoke, zero smell unless it's been running hot for hours, and even then just from the engine. I've run it backed into the garage with the door open and it's cleaner than my husband's gas Golf R.

This computer, which is several years old and running Vista, could use thorough updates of just about every program.

Well, Vista is probably your chrome issue, unfortunately.

Around our area many of the young guys buy the small four cylinder cars, then add performance gear as they can afford it. I hate how most performance exhaust systems make a four cylinder engine sounds two-cycle yard equipment., it sounds like they're driving a string trimmer.

I keep getting offers from Avira (I run their free protection software) for a suite of 'pro level' programs, one of which is supposed to be an updater to help slow computers. I would need to know a lot more about it before 1. risking additional computer problems and 2. paying for programs that might cause problems.
