How the hell did a company on the other side of the country manage to process my order and put a shipping label without a street number on it, mail it out and then the USPS not notice the whole time until it got almost right to my door, where it was marked undeliverable and returned back to the company.

I mean, I'm the only Plan9 on this street and I get packages pretty regularly. Help a brother out, FFS.

 

The new Hawaii Five-O sucks (not that the original was any better) and my wife is watching it. She wonders why I hate it.

In the opening scene a group of people is in a law office conference room starting a video deposition. On the street a motorcyclist is speeding through alleyways, pulling into the street with no regard for traffic. He cuts through a public park (still hauling ass, of course), rides into the building, and into an elevator (how convenient that he didn't have to wait for one). He pulls into the law office, and proceeds to shoot the people in the conference room using an automatic weapon (an UZI?). He gets off the bike, and (slowly) walks over to one guy and shoots him in the forehead. He then gets back on the bike and escapes, again using the elevator.

And my wife wonders why I hate this stupid-shit program?

 

I think I'm getting sick. I had a flu shot yesterday, I started a new medication that makes me dizzy, I started my period today, and I've had itchy eyes and a stuffy/runny nose all day, getting worse as the day goes on. Fuck this shit.

 

Went to buy shoes this morning. Went to the rack, grabbed 2 pair of the shoes I wanted and was ready to cash out in a couple of minutes. QW started"shopping" for shoes. 45 minutes later, we finally left the store.

 

I'm so tired of the stress of this fucking test. I retake Tuesday. They trained me to read between every line. And then make me take a test where you can end up failing because you read too much or not enough. It's a mind-fuck. Everyone I've talked to that has taken it says the same thing. I just hate the thing. And I'm motivated because I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE IT AGAIN.

How fucking hard is it to get some affection. I mean shit. Can I get something just as small as a hug.

The haze from Indonesia's fires continues. I am surprised that given the scale of this fire that it hasn't been bigger news outside of Asia.

I have avoided buying aircon for the house, but just put down too much money for air filters. So much for using less power.

Also, I just bought proper masks so I can get back out and ride my bike. I am sure they will arrive just in time for the haze (which has been with us for months) to dissipate.

 

It's bad enough here, it's unbelievable in parts of Indonesia.
