So my girlfriend has approximately 50k miles on her 2.5 year old scion. It has just been in a fourth collision, along with the flood a,few weeks ago. All of the damage has been relatively minor. But still. Her rear bumper was just repainted a month ago, and now it has to be repainted again for a parking lot scrape. At least the woman who hit our unattended car came into the store and had us paged.

It's hard for me to respond well when I've spent 4 hours doing chores then 45 minutes trying to relax enough to fall asleep. And I suddenly get chastised about exercising and not sticking with things and failing at life. At around midnight... I'm falling asleep, it's hard for me to have a conversation at that point. I hate this. I'm up at 5 for yoga. And I got the dishes out and back in the dw, cleaned the cat boxes, swept and vacuumed, emptied the trashes and did three loads of laundry. While someone slept from 7:15 to 11pm. But I didn't complain, I just did it.
I obviously fail at life.

 

I always feel chastised for not doing enough around the house. This past week when I was too busy with school, work and the baby the house is a hot mess. I obviously do a lot around the house and after July 18th, I will go back to doing what I normally do. All my clothes may not get cleaned every week, but my daughter's clothes and toys are always under control. He's always so stressed out by all he needs to get done. I don't know what he actually does though.

Grrr...boys stink.

 

I get things done around the house eventually. It may not be immediate, but I don't work from home. But, I still get up and go to yoga or go in the evenings after work. I just don't see how I'm failing at everything. I'm tired. I got 4 hours of sleep and I'm cranky too.

 

Not all boys stink. I do the cooking, and general KP duties, as well as garbage detail and quite often floors. I also have to move a ton of new bedroom furniture upstairs this weekend, and build a squat cage with platform. The last is mostly for me, but my daughter wants to start lifting too. Sheesh, soon I will have to start mowing too, the joys of home ownership.

 

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved mother.

 

The fact that you're painting this thing to clean up cosmetic damage after its second collision tells me that you need a class on diminishing returns and The Bad Juju Fairy.

 

Nope. People need to control their shit. We're just supposed to walk away after 5 or 6 hundred dollars of damage has been done? I don't think so and if you're being honest you'd agree. And let's not get in a discussion about karma or fate or juju or pixie dust.
