The Complaining and Bitching Thread

Unfortunately, Chicago winter Temps span negative all the way thru the 50s. Pretty random. Even the 50s are cold af with the breeze off the lake. What really pisses me off is lake effect snow. Like really? Just snow on my commute huh? Pretty freaking annoying. ....... have to stop myself. Just hate living in a city where the weather is permanently randomized like a damn video game.

 

Out of curiosity, how many people do you expect to understand how biostatistics works?

On a similar note, I'm ready to go ballistic on the next six sigma pep rally.

I have an engineering degree, I've taken multiple statistics courses. I am capable of calculating standard deviation and qualifying the result. This "Green Belt" rah rah shit is beyond annoying, it is mathematically wrong in our context.

I'll fully admit to having a crappy attitude, but math doesn't lie.

 

Just because therapy is inconvenient for you (your kid even drove himself here-so it wasn't THAT bad) and your teenager tells you he's okay. You don't stop sending him after he had thoughts of self-harm. And then email his therapist for "help" after more than 5 months after he tried to overdose. My heart is breaking for a good kid with a parent who so desperately wants a healthy kid that he doesn't keep up with therapy every time things start to appear that they're going okay.

 

Going in for the crowning session of my root canal today. First one ever and this experience has MORE than pissed me off. I'm talkin "declare war on my dentist's family" type of pissed off.

I'm talking "sneak into his house and remove all the socks in the house so when he wakes up there's no socks and his morning ritual of getting dressed is interrupted so he gets very annoyed for the day" type of pissed off......ok, that was extremely specific..... I was never here!
