Very true. I manage my stuff on there, so I could change my picture permissions were I so inclined, but that's more of a PITA than it's worth to me.

Fucking A. Car needs tires, brake flush, and just to fix the headliner pull it'll be $1080? $655 for tires? No thanks, VW. I'll go elsewhere.

Yaaaay! Hubby forgot his phone at home this morning, and he was going to go visit a friend after he got off, but he was planning on being home by now to watch the game.

He is nowhere to be seen, and of course, there's no way to get ahold of him.

Normally, this wouldn't bother me so much, but I dropped the oil cap to our 4Runner, and it apparently ended up somewhere in the front bumper where I can't reach it. The auto parts store closes in 50 minutes. If he isn't home in the next twenty, that basically means I can't work tomorrow because I have to get an oil cap. I told him this before he left work but he didn't respond.

    Yaaaaay.

I don't think she learned anything.

This week is all about mastering the three point turn, apparently. Parking the 4Runner is difficult. #NotAGolf *sigh*

We just spent almost $700 on tires for the TDI. I shudder to think what the all terrains the hubs wants to buy for this thing will cost. He took mine up to the AT and Asheville to save $ on fuel. I'm totally out of my element in this thing.

Yep. But the $1080 to replace the spot where my headliner pulled was a little much. So, I declined. We got Pirelli G7 all weather Somethings. I had contiprocontacts but these are even better. My TDI is a 2011 with 91k on it, so I think we're doing well.

$700.00 isn't that bad, depending on the size, type, & brand of tire. If you went through VW you might've gotten screwed (I admit to having issues, namely zero trust, with VW of America).

And yes AT tires for a 4Runner will be expensive. Does yer hubby want them becuse they look cool, or does he plan to actually drive off-road?

Back in the late '70/early '80s when Toyota trucks were THE truck to have, I knew a guy who had a nice one: 4WD, AT tires, nice rims, XCab (they weren't common back then), bedliner, brush buster protective front grill, etc. And he wouldn't take it out of the garage if it was raining!

That sounds like a good price for the tires. The headliner quote seems way out of line, but as I mentioned (here and in other threads) I have issues with VW of America.

was that to replace the whole headliner or just fix the spot?

  18. I have a family member that has been trying forever to turn me into an atheist. Everything gets turned into a discussion on faith vs science. Sometimes, I legit wanna watch spongebob with my kids and enjoy that time. Why does something so simple have to turn into THAT type of discussion....and yes, that has happened before.
