That moment when you realize you've allowed an average of one exclamation mark for every two and a half pages and you wonder if you've gone soft.

I hate when my husband gets super stubborn about stupid shit. I've had to learn to just walk away and say the conversation is finished. Otherwise, my temper will flare up and objects will be thrown.

At this point, if I only get 40 hours of work all of December, I'm not going to give a fuck.

Actually, I hope I only get 40 hours of work all of December.

UPDATE: If things go well, I'll only have to put in 12-hour days until Monday. If things go according to how they usually go, it will probably be more like 14- to 16-hour days.

I am a lucky man to live in a house where objects are never thrown in anger.

I can hardly imagine how much damage could be done -- to people, to animals, to objects of value, to the house itself.

Back when I was practicing law, I had a client whose wife's first resort when angry was to throw glass. She indirectly got her husband into prison.

I try to keep it to things like pillows and stuffed animals.

It's assault if directed at someone, and at best it's childish and immature. Not saying it's never happened. My rented house has a knuckle imprint in the bathroom from when my exwife and I were arguing. She was yelling at me from the other side of the house. She didn't even know I put it there. Not being able to talk to her and have her listen to me and being so frustrated is one of the reasons we are no longer together.

You seriously have it set so your phone emits a 'tick' noise every time you touch the screen?

I feel like @ZombieSquirrel looking for a pair of scissors...

Maybe consider using the quote function to make it clearer next time.

I'm just joshing you, snowy. I know that you are not chucking stuffed animals in anger. Note that I also included a story I'm not proud of to show it can happen.
Also, my phone gets weird if you try to quote with it. It doesn't like formatting the text.

Nah, I throw plushies for fun. It's like an adorable pillow fight. ;)

To be honest, my temper isn't something I'm proud of and I work really hard to control it. I used to be a thrower of things. Being able to be far enough away from that to joke about it is progress for me.

My ex was a screamer and thrower.
I was the 'let's be calm and reasonable' which only pissed her off more.
Unfortunately, my calm would hold up to a point and then my temper kicked in.
When I was younger I punched holes in the sheet rock which makes it hard to get back your rental deposit.
As I got older (especially when we had kids) I learned to take long walks.

You win. I caught up on email and reddit, went to yoga, and am headed to work in a few.
