    My long weekends this year have been cursed. The only one I've actually taken off I shouldn't have because I've had too much work to do through all of them. It was my brother's wedding.

    I received a 70,000-word novel nearly a month late, and now I need to edit it in a few days. On top of that, I just received two reports. I wonder what else I'll get between now and the rest of the week.

    Really wish I was in a big city like NYC right now just for the easy access to some film and developing labs. Oh well, that one reason is buried by so many I am grateful to not live in that environment.

    The fucking Internet keeps conking out on me. It's been doing this since the weekend. Normally it would just be annoying, but now it's fucking aggravating because I'm working long days trying to get this novel done (there is a ton of locations and names to check for). What's particularly dumb about it is that Canadians are already getting fleeced for fairly basic Internet service, so when it doesn't even work consistently, it really fucking sucks.

    That reminds me...I have watched I don't how many vacation days just burn off unused between the jobs I have had. Fortunately they couldn't make me use them which was good because I couldn't afford to. There was the last actual vacation back in 2009 I think which means I am good for at least another year or two.

    I hated coming back from vacation only to find out that I'd be working 12+ hour days to make up for what work didn't get done why I was out, or was done half-assed. Psycho Bitch would spread the work around, but didn't have the backbone to actually make anyone do it, or do what little they did properly.
