I am going to have to lodge a complaint about Baraka_Guru 's post. Ugh.

 

Why the eff is my android phone staying on all night? I have it in sleep mode between 10pm and 6am. It's not supposed to connect to the internet or download any updates. Only the phone is supposed to answer for selected numbers.

It was charged when I went to bed and it was at 1% when I woke up, with the backlight on. Well, I can get a new one in May for next to nothing, just have to wait.

 

Story of my morning so far.

 

arrgh, just looked at the forecast for the northeast - have to fly to Vermont tomorrow (via CT)

Not really a complaint but close enough. After only 12 years my hercules game theatre XP sound card needs a new cable for the connection from the PCI card to the breakout box. Not a surprise considering I recently had to use superglue to reattach the metal piece that sits against the back of the computer to the card. Fortunately these cards are soooo much cheaper on ebay now compared to what I paid for it new back in 2001 I believe.
Edit: Cheaper if you do not need the PCI card. The only one I saw on there with everything was from Canada, eh and cost $156. That is a fair price for what you get but fortunately I only need a new connection cable.
If I wanted to complain I would start on my opinion of useless onboard audio and the hideous lack of any useful connections for what I do with audio stuff.

 

Why is it my uncle waits until I'm 41 years old to take an interest in my life? And is asking about my hobbies via Facebook "taking an interest"?

A colleague just emailed me asking me to download a video from YouTube and save it to his network folder.

...stick with your patient care-centric day job, dude.

 

Doing that is my main use for firefox, that plugin is oh so useful. Netflix is my other dominant use as it works best with that service.

 

Yeah, it turns out I'm the one that needs to stick with my dayjob. I've been in the dark ages of print so long that I missed the boat on legit means to download stuff from YouTube.

Oh well.

I absolutely can't stand being lied to. The most annoying part in this case is that the knowledge of being lied to only came to be AFTER the friendship was decided to be ended, so I feel further betrayed by someone I already felt betrayed by and had decided to let go of. The retroactive anger is not something I enjoy.

I get it, he's an awful human being and I will never again give him the benefit of the doubt thinking everyone has something good about them. He has NOTHING!
