    Arrgh, Ohh...I'm a dick sometimes.

And yes, I know I can be annoying. (any one who talks like I do...)

And yes, I know I'm not consistent.

Max decided that 3:45 was the morning start of his "Wake up, mom, it's time for breakfast" routine of knocking everything off the counter and bar in the kitchen. For the second day in a row.

At a thrift store I found an old catalogue for brushes. I can't remember the company name, but the catalogue was quite thick, it covered everything from very fine artist brushes to heavy industrial brushes. I should've bought it.

I don't really shop in used book stores.
More like, move in and set up residence.
There's something magical about old books and the history they have.
It would be a blast to go with you.

Same. One of my fondest memories from childhood was going to the used bookstore with my dad. We went to a bookstore owned by a guy he taught with for several years. I was always allowed to buy a couple of books, but only a couple, so I had to be careful and consider all the options thoroughly.

I spend very little time in used book stores, unless I'm on the hunt for something specific. Thrift stores & resale shops are my main hunting grounds. The good news is most of the shops are ran by charities (Goodwill, Savation Army, other smaller groups); the bad news is I never know what I'll find.

My wife cringes when we visit a 'new' shop with a large selection of books because she knows I'm going to try to at least scan over all of them. With my less than great eyesight, I don't spend much time on the paperbacks.

My father was basically illiterate because of a severe learning disability. My mother took us kids to the library starting at early ages to make sure that we learned to read. I didn't own many books as a kid (which might explain my current book hoarding obsession), but read many books from the library.

Ha! It's been a while since I've been here but reading now makes me miss this place :) I'm glad to be back.

Today, a Harley rider intentionally got in my way on the freeway headed into work. When we all hit traffic (good old LA), I didn't move out of his way and he tried to split passed me, scratching the shit out of his brand new shiny black saddle bags against the side of my car. Now that side was always a bit scratched up from an accident years and years ago so I wasn't too concerned with him hitting my car. But I am surprised that he thought he could fit that bike through that gap...

I am a huge Black Adder fan and there are times when Mr Bean is genuinely funny but it doesn't have the same laugh effect for me that it does for other people.
Most especially my parental units who have been watching three hours of Mr Bean for the past three nights.
I appreciate that they want to keep me from being sad but I'm not sure that this is the best approach.

My wife is going to attend a music teachers "camp" this week. It's being held in town, she knows the campus fairly well, and knows more or less the best driving route to get there & get back home.

She's acting like kid starting their first year of middle school.........and is mad at me for not being sympathetic.
