I've owned this laptop for less than two weeks and it's already malfunctioning. All the keys in the middle row produce nothing when pressed. Of course when I was in Oregon it worked fine. Now that I've dragged it down to the Yucatan (which makes returning it near impossible) it develops a major flaw.

Least this time I also bought an iPad as back up.

    Regarding jokes about Detroit:

If you think jokes about Detroit are too plentiful, do you have any idea how many movies, TV programs, books, comedians, etc., have & still do make fun of Texans?

    Detroit isn't a total cesspool.
Not all Texans are brash, loud, boastful and obnoxious.

If I had a head like yours and it DIDN'T hurt I'd think something was wrong...

  8. Yes, it's very difficult to have such a tiny head holding so much brain power. You couldn't possibly imagine that as you have a giant head, with a little brain. Lots of room in there.

Usually he'd put in headphones. I think he was just in a grousy mood.

Sounds like you need something like this... (OS X only for this one, found via google).

On that note I do plan on buying a typewriter when I am able to afford a decent one in full working order.

edit: or I might just buy something like this one, brand new and a good price.

My tiny brain doesn't mean my giant head is empty. It means I'm extra thick skulled.

    So says my wife.

Mentioning big heads, my wife (no, her head is just fine ;) ) likes the new Hawaii Five O. I don't.

I call Scott Cann/Dano a bobble-head doll. He has a large adult head on a small body; it doesn't help that he has very sloping shoulders which makes his head appear that much larger.

I'm still SO MAD at my husband for throwing out my bottle of mirin. WTF, dude. There are so many things I cannot cook right now because I refuse to buy aji-mirin, which is essentially flavored corn syrup. I need real mirin, and I can't find any on this side of town. I'm going to have to make a trip to Uwajimaya (darn) or face the prospect of looking to see if Whole Paycheck has it.

For the clueless, think of it like this: it would be like throwing out real maple syrup, and then only having pancake syrup available to buy.
