    Every state is different when it comes to landlord/tenant law. Michigan law is almost ridiculously pro-tenant. Here, the deposit is unequivocally your money, and (unless you owe back rent or agree to give it up) the landlord has to sue you to take any of it.

    Yeah, that's not really the case where we were, at all. That particular city can be very pro-landlord unless the house is falling down around your ears.

    However, I did manage to find the section of the ORS that applies to us: ORS 90.300 - Security deposits - 2011 Oregon Revised Statutes Insofar as I can tell, we're actually entitled to most of our deposit back, correct?

    Can't find any find any good film locally. Ugh. I was going to order it online in any event for a good rate rather than the 'way-too-much' they want it is in stock, but just having the option for local Kodak T-MAX would be nice. I already know that online is my only reasonable option for Tri-X and Velvia 50/100.
