    In our area the steady rain started at about 1:50am and ended around 10:00am. We needed the rain. A bitch--I should've cut the grass before the rain.

    Because Houston is so spread out, with the south side 'protected' by warm air from the Gulf of Mexico while the north side is more succeptible to cold fronts, the difference in rainfall totals across Houston can vary greatly.

    Yeah... it rained in north LC and Sulphur for hours... not a drop here. Crimony. Hopefully there's still some coming. I could use a good sleep. And then it can leave so I don't have any flight delays Thursday or Saturday.

    Try not having your dad around.
    Not dead, just not around.

    Just a revelation after noting the documentary, "The Dead Mothers Club" about celeb women who had their moms pass when younger.

    Basically, a person is impacted in subtle ways, by the absence of a parent, especially one that matches your sex.
    Not that you won't survive and excel and surpass your pain, just it likely plays into your particularities.

    People don't want to emphasize sex these days...because it was overkill in days past and often provokes unequal/unfair situations.
    But it is still significant and cannot be discounted.

    Let's hear it, for those who supported kids growing up, no matter what their sex is.
    And those quality individuals who are surviving and succeeding despite whatever limitations or lack they may have had growing up.

    People judge too much.
    No matter what their fuckin' sex is.
