Tomorrow the high temperature (not wind chill, real temp) is supposed to be -13*F.

Boo-hoo. We've already had that temperature. Now we're waiting to see whether we're going to get buckets of snow or another ice storm. :(

You guys have to try -38 c some time (what it is today, with a wind chill of -48 c.) That'll put hair on your chest! Then, on Fri it's suppose to be +2.

I know better than to complain about cold weather in the presence of Canadians or Minnesotans.

The wind is so loud that it's been waking me up. I need to go do laundry, but it's also raining. This is a front that is going to cause a 30+ degree temp drop into the 20s tonight and tomorrow. I'm not complaining, next to others' cold. But it's cold to me because I don't have the clothing or building structure for it. Since it's rather infrequent. Thursday is is supposed to be 70 again.

I have no energy today. The flu shot is kicking my ass. I just want to sleep. But my muscles hurt, so I need to move.

  7. The first round of Death Storm 2014 wasn't so bad. Moved that stuff to make way for the haymaker that is supposed to land this afternoon/evening. So far, the new snow blower is passing the test.

Yeah, I called Time & Temperature around 5:45 this morning and it was 60F and said it would get down to 35F.
I thought, "No way in hell."
Sure enough, it's 35F outside. It says it will get back in the 60's today again, then back to 22F tonight. *sigh*

I hope you get to feeling better soon, noods.

A decent guess. But, actually, with that temperature fluctuation, the best guess would be Alberta, specifically the Calgary area.

The meme is much more funny with Saskatchewan though. :D

Bwaahahahahaha! They still have that? My phone tells me the temp based on my zip code when I wake up.

While I am glad I got the flu shot, it's wrecking my weekend. Wait. I have no life. It's just the same weekend as last, with less energy. *sigh* 9 months, 18 days. Then I get to go home.

Well, I have no smart phone, so I use the caveman ways.

Also my thought. My brother and I called that thing all the time when I was a kid.

Well there is almost 10" of fresh snow on the ground, plus it is supposed to continue snowing all day and into the night. :p

The wind chill is supposed to be below -50*F. If my rough math is correct, that is roughly the same as what you are talking about. Except we don't live at the north pole, so we aren't used to it. :p

We've been warned about that amount here, but the warming temperatures are now heralding ice, which was devastating over Christmas.

Yeah, but cold weather won't put lead in your pencil, quite the opposite  .

The cold front has been moving in this AM, our high this PM will be in the mid 40s.

I just cleared my driveway and sidewalk. Some of the drifts on the side of my house are waist deep. Fortunately none of those were across where I had to clear, but it was probably 18" in some places. Hard to tell exactly how much has fallen with all the drifting. I've heard some people say as much as 14", but I don't think it is quite that much. Maybe getting close to a foot.

Sadly, once the winds whip up later I'm sure it'll be pointless that I cleared it all.

If your temp is that high, you could have a bacterial infection. Any chance you can get to a Minute Clinic (or the local equivalent)? You might qualify for antibiotics and they could start knocking down the infection (if it's bacterial). Good luck, and hope you feel better soon.

It's a reaction to the flu shot.
I worked with sick kids and in hospitals for so long that my immune system goes into overdrive at the first sign of invading forces, such as the flu shot.
It's back down to a respectable 100.2, where it will likely hover for a day or two, until my system decides to chill the fuck out.
I just find the experience hilarious and very predictable. I typically don't take anything during the reaction phase, so that I'll get the biggest benefit... but I did break down and take a flexeril last night because I was so achy.

That's one helluva reaction to a vaccine. Please take care of yourself. Feel better soon!
