The Complaining and Bitching Thread

Oh, great. Now I have the viral crud that's been making the rounds at work. And just in time for the weekend.

 

I'm sorry. It must be a bit disheartening to do all that work and not have some of those most close to you not attend such an awesome life event. I'm sure if they can't make it in person they're proud as can be and will be there in spirit.

Sorry I am going to miss out on connecting with you this trip as well.

In the spring I hope to return.

I'm trying to get feedback from my dissertation chair on how to proceed... weather or some idiot hitting the equipment has led to an intermittent internet outage.

Guess I'll have to go out there into the weather for groceries. It was 52* this morning at 2am when I awoke from my weird sleep. That was the max for today.
42* doesn't sound bad, compared to most people's weather, but the wind and the misty rain drops it into the 20s. And my heater is all weird. Very glad I grabbed my space heater when I was in Jax. Going to get some firewood at the grocery store... hopefully someone pulled it all inside before the rain hit the other day.
The wind is howling down my chimney, too... luckily my flue is pretty narrow and it shouldn't push too much back into the apartment.
I can't think when I'm cold. I just want to hibernate.

 

Day 2 of Martian Death Flu: Apparently I wasn't feeling crappy enough yesterday. Now we've added low grade fever and more body aches. My joy can hardly be contained.

ditto. the ultracet is taking just the edge off, but I can't have another for four and a half more hours. that second one will surely kick it. or knock me out.

 

I forgot. A year or so ago, I wrote a blog entry about one of the doctors who works at our hospital. I filed complaint against her for the way she handled a mass removal on a dog's leg. When I got to work last Thursday, I found out that she'd been fired for botching the same procedure on another dog. Not really a complaint or bitch. I just didn't know where else to put it. It's bad enough seeing animals in pain when they're getting good treatment. It's just a horrible thing to see when they're not.

 

I, and we, are having a hell of time finding a unique sterling silver chain for the Larry Martinez cross that I bought for my wife. We visited six shops & antique malls yesterday, & only found one cool chain...that was too large. I guess that it's time to start checking the specialty jewelry stores.

My mood started taking a dive yesterday afternoon, and has since been alternating between barely tolerable and downright nasty.

 

Have you looked on Etsy? Normally I wouldn't go that direction, but there are amazing artists on there. I have a friend who makes gorgeous stuff and started out on Etsy. Her jewelry is now in movies.

I think rather the problem is that Louisiana is not drunk. Louisiana needs 10 cocktails.
