ive seen plenty of teeny weeny thongs being worn over the 6 years I spent there. But if you are talking totally nude then no it doesn't happen on public beaches or pools. Heck I've rarely seen full on nudity in 30 years of living in Australia. Dubai is also more accepting of flesh than other emirates within the UAE like Sharjah.

Well in 6 I didn't hear about a single gun murder. What is on the rise is sexual assaults. Many perpetrated by single men of low socioeconomic status.

Whether or not the ruling class have guns they may well have them. But they also have a military behind them, so why would you need to carry weapons.

Drugs is present in some party circles but again not a widespread issue.

The only time I carried a knife there was during camping or desert running for protection from wild camels.
