I think the fact NPD Trump thinks mentioning Palmer's dick is amusing needs to be reported...along with the important news about how dangerous he is to our democracy.

Y'gotta love all the media that's playing the "horserace" angle. "They're neck and neck, it's anyone's game" The pingpong match back & forth.
And the skewed stats...as Samuel Clemens said..."There are lies, damned lies and statistics..."

The ones I know that are neutral, on top of it and current...show Harris already above 270 (the winning threshold)
And the early voting so far, has been in great volume...and leaning to the Dems and Harris.

So unless there's an October/November surprise, Fate gets involved, or someone other than Chump says something stupic...it's Harris' to lose.
So I'm not nervous about her...what nervous about is the radical right's response to losing, living in DC doesn't help...passions may go astray again.

AND I'm hoping that the Dems DO give a surprise boost and get as many votes as possible.
It would be very helpful to clean up the mess and correct some lingering issues for Harris' and the Dems to control the House and Senate.
Then they can also focus on the Supreme Court mess and what to do to correct it's lopsided voting in the past few.

It's not that the Dems have a corner on values or quality.
It's that the GOP has gone into a black hole and there's a question whether they'll recover and become compromising civil party again.
And there's no other real skin in the game for the other parties and Independents.

So something is better than nothing...and the Dems "somethings" are better than the GOP's "nothing burgers" and non-starters.
Just rage and audacity doesn't make for good politics, long term solutions or even just civility with the other kids in the sandbox. (no GOP it isn't just yours...y'gotta share the toys)

And so the media, at least is reporting on the crap coming out of Chump's mouth....and highlighting it...and calling him on it.
Even Fox News has been calling bullshit on him more lately.

    Strange Times
    Strange Headlines.

The financial interests of the the media owners affecting news coverage isn't new in journalism, but it has expanded, especially in the golden age of nearly instantaneous news, & social media.

Newspapers could've done constant stories on how automobile dealerships cheated people on trade-ins, and esp repairs, but the newspaper classifieds section was filled with ads from the car dealerships.

Edward R. Murrow used to fight with his editors over content the paying sponsors didn't want aired. How many small town newspapers (yes, I remember those days, at least the tailend) kept newsworthy secrets in order to stay in business?

Even the news media that relies on donors as much as subscribsriptions are subject to pressure. What happens to donations if a news organization known for exposing -- fairly-- Trump and the GOP leadership publishes a bombshell -- fairly -- that severely damages the Dems?

I don't know if this is another diversion tactic from NPD Trump, he's trying to intimidate the news media, he needs the money, or what.

The fact they filed the case in conservative Texas, to be heard by a judge with clear history of conservative rulings, with ties to NPD Trump*, tells me they don't have a strong case.

    * "The complaint will be heard by Judge Matthew Kascmaryk, who was nominated by Trump in 2017 and has ruled in favor of conservative plaintiffs in several high-profile cases, suspending the FDA’s approval of the abortion drug mifepristone and blocking a Biden administration rule that required background checks for firearm purchases made at gun shows. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer denounced the Trump team for taking their case to “MAGA’s favorite judge.”"

There could be some interesting results. Suppose a Biden legal team decides to go after FOX News? I left Harris out of it because I'm thinking she would be quite busy as POTUS.

Why Are Liberals Infuriated with the Media?

    Not just liberals...moderates too.
It's a danger that affects all.

    This happens all too often.

Even all the way back to yellow journalism and the start of the Spanish-American War.
    And of course, before that.

    So how to counter it???
    Encourage good actions.

It is mainly because the "Bernie Sanders" viewpoint is completely missing in the media now.
