This morning CBS Sunday Morning featured a segment on Trump supporters; I'm not sure where they were, or if they visited one location or several.

Many NPD Trump supporters appear to back him despite not liking him as person, and they can't provide any detailed reasons believing he would be the stronger POTUS.

Some of his supporters come across as being simply stupid.

Let's not forget the news media likes to shake things up for buzz, and of course higher ratings. ratings.

If anybody knows about doing sneaky illegal things it's Dick Cheney.

I still think he's a low life, but he could be brutally honest (relatively speaking) at times...usually when doing so didn't affect him.

    Scenario:
If Cheney had been Trump's VP,
would he have been able to
...manipulate a stubborn Trump the way he did the gullible W. Bush?
...do things behind Trump's back, given how loyal Trump's inner circle was, or at least appeared to be?

Not even finished with the debate...but you can see a double-standard
They kept allowing Chump to run on, and keep responding again and again...and with Harris, cutting her of and not as many replies before going onto the next topic.

Don't know why the media allows Chump to always talk on and interrupt often.
    Lop sided rule enforcement.

IMHO...do NOT eat dogs!! Just sayin'

I may be biased, but she did well.
Did a great job hitting on the points...and hitting him with all the barbs.

Now, let's how media reacts...what narrative they spin the cycle on.
And how the public does...which really doesn't watch these...so they don't change their minds.

Time for bed...we'll see what "Santa" left us...under the tree in the morn. ;)

Trump says there won’t be a third presidential debate

    Aww, why not??? :D
You only refused ALL debates with your GOP opponents...and they let you get away with it.
Then you "won" the first general, but it wasn't because you did ANY good...it's just your opponent Biden, got railroaded by his own party in a panicked hissy fit. *and the media biting where they could, like piranha.

And on the ONLY debate you had, against a fully capable opponent, WITH full support of her party....you FUCKED IT UP !!!!:p (*ok, she was really good too :))

And that's why you're here, because others of influence, have for WHATEVER damn reason, let you get away with everything NO other candidate has in the history of the US.
Why, IDK. It's pathetic frankly.

The GOP, the Media, the Dems, MAGA, right-leaning GDI's and more...let you slime your way to the top...and somehow let you slime your way to getting another chance.
    * without ANY court doing anything, that MOST other people would be in orange pajamas (to match your orange face, you Jabba the Hutt like Motherfucker * excuse me, inferred, daughter fucker. Love those cozy pics. Eww...)

So we go into the most important vote of US history, other than Civil War era, where the fate of the nation is at stake.
(no, not against a whole other half of the nation...but a cult following of a con artist ...and some on the fence dups, who are likely VERY oblivious to politics and have no friggin' memories :()

The TITR assmouths saying the debate was three against Trump need to see some neutral analysis of how the candidates were treated by the moderators.

It's not their fault NPD Trump:
-- Failed epically when he tried to BS his way out explaining his failure to replace Obamacare (I'm guessing that name for the Affordable Care Act bugs the crap out of NPD Trump despite its general negative useage).
-- Stupidly repeated the dogs & cats in Springfield, OH story, esp the loud rant that made him look like even more moronic.
-- Kept attaching the border "crisis" onto many of his answers, with the border having nothing to do with the questions.

EDIT: Trump's comments are a campaign promise, hence the election thread.

    ......

Warn your friends from foreign countries, NPD Trump plans* to deport 11 million illegal aliens.

Somebody needs to explain to him his deportation plan* is even more ludicrous than building the border wall and making Mexico pay for it (the wall was not completed, & any tariffs on Mexico would've been recouped by Mexico through higher prices).

Let's think about this. Tax cuts -- NPD Trump's main way to purchase votes -- mean less money for LEAS. Which means fewer LEOs to perform their usual duties. How does NPD Trump plan to pay for this, send invoices to various South American countries?

    * Currently the plan is a concept of an idea that he has good, smart people working on.

Suspicious packages sent to election officials in at least 6 states

If y'can't beat 'em...smother 'em.
Geez, the any means to an end tactics and activities of "certain" parties and groups (yes, you GOP and conservatives...y'all the only ones do it these days...if it's different, show us...where's there's smoke, there's noxious gas )

I wish people would just be transparent and play fair.
But it happens all over or all reasons. (Ex: they just found that the CAS rep who dinged an American from getting a bronze medal in favor of Romanians, is actually a consultant for the Romanians!! - Don't worry, the US found tapes...)

Corruption, biases, conflict of interest, influences, trying to "push" a benefit to your "side" and a negative or disadvantage to the opposition or those trending to vote a certain way.
All of this are factors that influence results and who gets in POWER and positions of influence.

Hell, even making a "joke" on mass media can turn tides. (Yes, Elon Musk, we're talking about your now slimy ass here...deleting "jokes" doesn't make the consequence or web history disappear - "can't stop the signal")

But putting out bombs, chemicals and biological toxins to get "your way"??? That's lower than low.
    Potentially harming masses and innocents.

    Fuck y'all.
You should be smothered in your own toxin. (* after a court case, a death penalty granted and all appeals fail, of course :))

The smarter MAGAats* who know to keep several layers between themselves & the illegal acts manipulate the lower MAGAats to commit those acts.

    * In MAGA "smarter" is relative, there's quite a range of intelligence. Of course MAGA IQ has to be separated from general IQ, which isn't easy because the former frequently overpowers the latter.

Some thoughts inspired by a @rogue49 post in another thread.

One (very helpful) thing that I find really strange is the people turning against NPD Trump, after voting for him 2016 (which sort of understandable), and again in 2020.

NPD Trump wasn't incompetent enough, & enough of a clear grifter, to lose their vote in 2020? It took his antics, and growing mountains of evidence against him, to get those people to see the light? I do not understand it. I've never hear an explanation that makes sense.

What amazes me, is how many news and media outlets are trying to make this a "razor thin" tight race...
    NYT, WaPo, CNN, Etc...

BUT...when you look at the aggregate poll visuals, Harris would win well now. (It's hers to lose)

Even conservative agg sites, like RCP are currently mostly Harris advantage

Early in-person voting begins in 3 key states

    And here we go...

Yes, early mail in counts...and is valuable...and a potential way to get around voter repression. And it's convenient for busy peeps and those who cannot get in.
BUT, it's actual walk-in voting that that is the big gun going off.
(However, in the future, when we finally get internet truly ubiquitous and ALL use it... * and get our damn security TIGHT and MONITORING by non-partisan folk :cool:, then it will be the option, not the focus)

So far, most of the GDI polling boards have Harris in the lead...and most likely to win. (* for now...)

    We'll see. Where's the popcorn???
Got your registration done and locked down. I do! :D

Yes, your vote DOES count...just to add to the heap and show who has won hands down...and NO friggin' debate.
Your country truly needs you this time, if any. NO BS !!

    Vote!
    Just do it. :)

With the exception of a handful of local elections, my blue vote doesn't mean much in TX.

But occasionally it serves to scare a red candidate by keeping the percentage close.

    Hopefully TX will...wait, I don't want to jinx a positive thought ;).

Actually, TX is considered potentially in play, it's light red, not bold red. (multiple poll sites, say this)
The change in demographics may make a difference, IF enough GOP say forget it and more Dems push the volume in excitement.

One month to go folks...right now, despite the horse race headlines and the leading questions on how "cutting edge" it is,
Harris is in a strong lead. :)

Here are some nice visuals to sum it up in a second
    upload_2024-10-7_8-18-47.png

    upload_2024-10-7_8-19-35.png

    upload_2024-10-7_8-22-18.png

I'm not going to post RCP, because they went from being reasonable and fair earlier in the year, to now very skewed and reporting really right/GOP leaning despite what everyone else says.
I guess a VIP got to the stats staff...:oops::confused::rolleyes:

Even the prof/SME who's predicted 9 of 10 last elections, says Harris is most likely the winner.
And he says the "October Surprise" is a myth.

So that being said, I hope it makes the GOP and right radicals stay home
(Chump IS pissing them off on abortion AND now admitting previous defeat AND he's looking old & wobbly ...no WEAKNESS in the pack, y'know!! Eat 'em alive!! ;) )

This way, we have a Dem dominate House and Senate and Harris...and we can do some cleanup
And fuckin' fix SCOTUS and the laws without resistance.
    I hope, I hope, I hope... :D:cool:

    We'll see... ;)
