Like Old Pals, Trump, Putin Make Light of Election Meddling

No use being an asshole unless you can prove it...

Yeah, so let's invite the Russians AGAIN to interfere in our elections
This time, it wasn't a shouted out request...just a inference.
Mr. T is getting more subtle in his audacity.

I wonder how much meddling will happen this time??
Not like our Intelligence will be able to stop them...takes them months to figure out something...too late then.

    And so...the consequences
It’s not just the Russians anymore: Iranians, others turn up disinformation efforts ahead of 2020 vote — The Washington Post

No shit it’s not just the Russians...
    Our lack of action
    Neglected security
And the shown results of chaos in our government

All has every enemy of the US investing into messing with our elections

Hell, they may even be coordinating
But even each by themselves can do harm; we’ve allowed our pants to be dropped
Even catering to them, in some surreal fashion
    They are loving the anarchy

Why explode yourself, when you can just fuck with their heads and government with hackers and fake accounts

    Crime pays
    Now, hand over fist
Chaos to our enemies, they toast

And our shmucks are turning a blind eye
Shit, they’re leaving the door wide open

We even have one party seemingly egging it on
Hoping to gain, despite pissing off many and pissing on many

    Welcome to the American election
    Where your vote drowns
And its enemies are turning on the hose full blast.

Although I can't really blame them. Cheating is the last resort they have at holding onto power. And if the far left retake the government, I hope that they won't play nice and start forcing changes. The conservative lifestyle will be very hard and costly. There is enough precedence over the last 3 years that turnabout will be fair. You want a gun and are a male, that will be $1000 fee with an extra 50% tax on bullets. You want to drive a diesel truck, it will have to pass emissions and pay a tax to pay for the roads of $1000 a year just like what was done with electric cars in the past few years. Viagra (and the generics) will be very difficult to get. It will only be available at one place per state and a bi-annual prostate exam will need to be done.

Now, it seems like all of the Democrats running are too moderate to govern like that, but I don't know if any have it in them either.

Absolutely loved the performance of both Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang in the second debate.

Meanwhile all the established frontrunners (Warren, Bernie, Biden, Kamala) looked like absolute gobshit in comparison.

I'm very keen to see if the Democrats truly learned from their 2016 hubris, but all indications seem to point towards the negative. Still hopeful though, and am closely following the trajectories of the candidates.

People are starting to realize that Biden isn't the Uncle Joe meme that they liked when he was vice president.
That he comes with a shitload of baggage and is for all practical purposes a moderate Republican.
If he switched parties and primaried Trump, he would probably win.

Warren is a Centrist Democrat and seems to have thought out every major issue.

One thing that I worry about is the 2024 election if the Democrat wins, and who is left if they lose. I think that Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley or if they go back to a rational Republican like John Kasich would win pretty easily. Who would be able to run as a Democrat and win in 2024 if they lose next year? Maybe Michelle Obama...

When running against an incumbent, the focus, IMO, should be on both -- Democratic proposals AND Trump's record on issues like immigration, health care, environmental protection, tax and economic policies (e.g. tariffs and trade war) ...

Unlike running on promises in 2016, Trump now has a record and his policies are on the wrong side of public opinion on every issue.

I just traveled across the country from Washington to Ohio and I saw a lot of pro-life billboards and bumper stickers. Quite a few Trump 2020 flags and yard signs already too. In the debate, except for some talk about trade that impacts rural farmers, the gun issue and pro-life issues aren't being talked about convincing enough to sway many voters to vote for the Democrat I bet. Especially when there are talk radio and conservative TV shows ripping them apart. And the religion and moral upbringing of kids also didn't get talked about.

Healthcare, Environmental, tax, and even economic issues take a back seat. Hell, I bet a lot of people wouldn't care if they lost their jobs and had to go without health insurance if it meant their candidate wins.
