Tried to go on a walk with Luna again tonight, but she didn't recognize me and was barking at me right next to my apartment complex at 23:30 So I had to let her and her owner go in order to avoid a noise complaint. Maybe next time.

 

My sweet Gatsby. Not sure I'll ever get over losing him. He was the best. Very intuitive. He always knew when someone needed him.

About 13 years ago, I had moved home with my mom for a few months. Gatsby stayed in my bedroom at first, because my mom had two dogs at the time. Gatsby would scratch at the bedroom door after I went to sleep to get out and would make a beeline for my mom's room to sleep in the crook of her arm. He did this for months. What I didn't know at the time, was that she had breast cancer. He slept with her every night, next to the side that had the cancer until she had her lumpectomy. I don't think he ever slept with her again after that.
