Found an oldie of my little fat buddy sitting on his haunches.

Meet Shadow.



Shadow is a Husky/Lab mix from my local humane society.



He's a curious little bugger.



Dude's SMART. He stayed by my side almost the whole time; only had to give corrective commands to him a couple of times.



He loves the water.



He likes to make friends with local flora.




I *really* wish I lived in a bigger house/not-an-apartment so I could adopt him. He's super chill, really well-mannered, and he loves snuggling up to people. He gives great kisses, too

 

Shadow makes me want to ignore the "no more pets, or you're going back to Ohio" rule. Give him a kiss for me!

Well we got a new puppy(sorta) she is 10 months old and we got her from a rescue before they had to put her to sleep. Her name is Omaha. She is a pit mix. She is great with my daughter and my black lab. Everyone seems to be getting together so far.

Fritz, our German Shepherd is incredibly tolerable of our daughter's idea of "funny"


My eastern painted turtle. Yes, she IS sitting on a cap from a 2ltr of RC. Yes, she DID get up there all by herself - I float colored 2ltr tops in her tank for her to play with - she responds differently to the different colors. This one she managed to get up on top of her rock, then was up on top of it basking when I saw her and took a photo.

 

Raven, our 16- y.o. Schipperke and Obi, our 5 y.o. Pug-Corgi mix. They rarely will be seen together (Raven hates her adopted brother). What never ceases to blow my mind is how many ppl see two small, black dogs and assume they are the same breed.
I'm a bit wistful because Raven has entered old, old age. I think her heart is failing; I know her hearing is shot and her sight is going. Aww, dawgs.
