Good-looking animal. It's hard to get a good snap of a black dog.

Thank you! And man, you are NOT kidding about black dogs. He either blends into the background or the flash reflects off his fur--and that's when he isn't a blur, or trying to lick the camera :)

Case in point: the flash is way too reflective in this one, but other than that, I love this picture (maybe I'll get some photo editing software for Christmas? oooh....)

    Aww. Hella cute dogs.
I use freeware Photoscape which I download off CNET. For the non-pro (me) it is fantastic. I'm still looking for my fave pic of my 2 black dogs...and then I need to go through this entire thread and talk to the animal people.

On the left is Raven. She's a rescue Schipperke, now about age 15 (14 in the pic). Her breed can live from 18-22 years which is partly why I picked her. To the right of Raven is Obi. He comes from a crack-dealing household--that of the adult daughter of my spouse's workmate who the dog was dumped upon. He tried getting rid of Obi by letting him run free but the dog is not stupid. I heard the story over dinner and asked my husband to relieve his idiot coworker of the animal. No, we did not need another dog and Raven is much too old to accept one. She hates him and he is such a love. They both get ridiculous amounts of attention. Anyway, if anyone can identify Obi's breed(s) I'd REALLY appreciate it. When I first saw him I thought OMG, he's fat! He is carrying a bit of extra weight but the dog is very muscular. The most recent vet visit gave us the opinion that he is Schipperke and Chihuahua. I still don't buy it especially when I look at his build and his incredibly short legs. I do agree that he is a cross-breed; I don't think there are too many mixes there.

Obi has a lazy eye and he uses his super short legs more like arms. His owners named him Kobe but I'm not a fan name changed to: Obi Wan Kenobi.

Faust and Max. This one totally cracked me up.
This is pretty much how most of Faust's days look...

I have two cats. They are 5-year-old littermates. The pictures does not capture how soft they are, or how fluffy Tumble's tail is.

    This is Ruff:

This would be Sir Nicholaus / "Nickie". We had to relocate him, he was very friendly but not the best fit for our house once we had small babies around.
He is a full blooded German Rotti around 100 lbs

This would be Zeus. We still have him - he has a sister named Roxanne somewhere out there.

Here's a pic of Jade playing with her ball in the park. This picture always makes me laugh. She is so intense when she plays!

Years ago, we adopted a cat that looks like Peanut's sister but no one here can recall what type of cat it was. Does anyone know what Peanut is (besides a cute kitteh)?

Seriously looks like there is some Egyptian Mau in there.... possibly a little Bengal by the denser coat, distinctive facial markings.

And luggage too. I am surprised that we haven't accidentally packed along a cat or two on our vacations. Ruff especially loves sleeping in and on luggage.
