I don't know that rhubarb ever belongs on a confessional thread.

 

I had stewed rhubarb over basil panacotta last night. Not a confession as much as an admission.

 

I tried to engage in an actual discussion with a poster in the comments section of an internet article I disagreed with. I think I may have, for a short time, actually thought that making my points in a logical way could overcome insistent ignorance. The internet quickly grounded me back to reality.

 

Christmas music any time before Thanksgiving or after New Year's Day makes me feel ever so slightly homicidal.

 

I'm a self-confessed punk rocker currently on a Dixie Chicks kick.

Yeah. I said it.

 

I enjoy being slapped during sex. I can't help it. Never thought I would...but I do.

 

I was taking care of a family of feral cats (mom and four kittens) while I was gone last time.

It worries me that my replacements might consider them a nuisance and hurt them.

 

not that I like that, but, yes.

 

I thought Lady GaGa was hot for about ten seconds.......I'm not proud of that.

 

I really love cookbooks. I love buying them, I love paging through them, I love the way they look on my shelf.


But I hardly ever USE them.

 

I've lived in Florida my entire life. And I cannot get a handle on goddamn sunscreen. Ever.




CinnamonGirl you need "Veganomicon" wit a quickness. You'll use it.

 

I have that one, actually. Along with an entire shelf of cookbooks that I was going to list, but I went to Amazon to double check a few titles, and ended up with some major Cookbook Lust and had to bail out immediately. I found at least ten more that I want to order. I might have a problem.


I WILL skim through them when I want to make something special for a party/gathering/hootenanny, but for everyday cooking, I usually just throw a bunch of vegetables in some rice or pasta and call it a day. Or, more often, Lordeden cooks.

 

I still haven't used the cookbooks that CinnamonGirl got me for Christmas one year. They're very pretty though.

 

You are NOT alone. I have a shelf full of them. Some of them have never so much as been opened.

I put this in the confessional because I believe if I make it public elsewhere, I will be lynched.
Even though I live in the Indianapolis area, and have for most of my life, the death of Sammy Terry has had virtually zero impact on my life.

 

Looking for a job, but not sure if I should take an interview with an organization for the same position I am doing now, but for less money.

 

This morning, i am having a greasy bacon and egg biscuit w. some greasy hashbrowns that i got from the steak and shake drive thru and it is so amazingly delicious.
