I lurk. Sometimes I logout so you don't see me lurking, but I just don't feel I have much to say that isn't trite.

But I miss you and like to see what you're up to, and that you're well.

I'm like the ghost of Christmas past, but without the lessons...

 

Oooh, sorry. I just left a message on the TFP landing page that lurkers creep me out. I wasn't referring to you specifically. I was referring to both an ex of mine who I know is back and to a former TFPer with a god complex.
(I have learned too late to never invite exes to join the TFP.)

 

Excuse me, but I never said it was a "god" complex. It's a "cod" complex. I'm convinced that I'm a fish. But, in my defense, I'm a damned tasty one, especially in a wine sauce.

Ok, a real confession.

I am drawn to terrible puns.

For example, on 25th December my family sat down to roast pork (we don't have turkey often) almost entirely so I could say "now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious summer by this leg of pork".

 

Ive become more and more anti-social and introverted this past year than I ever was before.

 

I was taking my daughter's boyfriend back home a couple hours ago. Of course my daughter came along.

I stopped for gas. I didn't notice that Daughter and Boyfriend went in to the convenience store.

On the way to Boyfriend's house, way out in the country, I thought, they're being very quiet back there.

I didn't dare look away from the road. It was/is about 1 degree Fahrenheit, and the roads are covered with packed down snow and ice.

So I got to Boyfriend's house, stopped, turned around, and there was nobody there.

I had to go back to the gas station to pick them up.

I lost a whole bunch of Dad points tonight.

 

I once did this to a colleague on my motor cycle ....

 

I listen to New Age music.

My confession: I'm a liberal who's read Atlas Shrugged, and I didn't hate it.

 

Not hating and making it a philosophical roadmap are totally different things.

 

I want to start a thread on superstitions, but I'm too superstitious to start it.
