  2. Jakey98 I used to be in the same boat as you, u til I became a Beachbody coach. I've learned the ins and outs of eating clean and healthy, as well as muscle building. I am more than happy to give you some insight if you would like?!?

First off, I don't claim to know what "works". I just see what seems to be working for me.

There's alot of things you can do in/around your house. Check out bodyweight excercises, and get creative.
I use a swingset as a pull-up/chin bar, bangin out a couple of reps whilst out playing with the kids.
Last year I bought olympic rings and hung out in the yard (eBay= supercheap). A few reps a day when you're out mowing the lawn or something, and at the end of the summer, I pulled off a goddamn muscle-up.
Lie under a table, grab the edge and do rows. Put on a backpack full of books and do pushups. If it hurts, stop and figure out what you're doing wrong.

Every time you go to the bathroom, take off your shirt and flex the fuck out. This also applies to before AND after shower. Seeing and appreciating gains is a huge motivator.
It's also good for noticing your less developed areas.

Have boners, as much as socially acceptable.

Check out youtube-strongmen and builders. Be wary of broscience, but it is a good way to learn new twists to old excercises and study form.
Ex: Ben Pakulski, Jeff Cavaliere, Elliot Hulse, Alan Thrall..

If you're not in love with strict discipline; take it easy with the micro-managing of food in the beginning. I tried and failed at keeping a strict diet, because it was so fucking boring and time-consuming. I just make sure I get alot of protein and lots of fresh vegetables(cauliflower and broccoli every day). I stay away from processed foods and candy. I don't fear carbs, but I keep it down a bit on off days.

Again, these aren't scientifically proven facts(or maybe they are, I don't know). I do this, and I look amazing.

That's a pretty good list of youtubers to watch. Elliot Hulse has some pretty good, no nonsense advice.
