Is "flame" the word you wanted? You say all you did was connect verbally/emotionally. I see no problem with reconnecting with her in those ways. Why would you feel guilty about continuing a relationship that has very little to do with your marriage, unless your wife is irrationally jealous of you sharing your time with anybody else? You get a stiffy for her? Your wife will have a bone to pick. Be caring first, then careful.

 

Its a bit of a wager isnt it, risking wife and family. What will happen when the secret escapes?
