My husband dislikes the mess, but he'll do it. But I haven't had a full-fledged period in four years, so it's not an issue for us.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

    Agree.
Sometimes you just gotta.....but I can usually wait a few days.

My wife will always refuse to have sex during her period. Unfortunately, her period lasts anywhere from 28-31 days, depending on what month it is.

Speaking of keeping sex times reasonable...

Has YOUR man ever faked his orgasm? Over 30% of males admit that blissful moment of climax is sometimes just a performance

I'll admit to this once or twice.
If she's on a roll...and your whole body is exhausted, but not your willy...

Let's say that you happened to whack off a couple of times before you got the real stuff.
Sometimes the little guy just doesn't want to finish the deed. (he's up to it and then some, but the reward is not coming out)
And some women are upset or resentful if you don't cum...as if it's an insult to them. (is it a female power/ego thing???)
(**doesn't matter how many times she's come...which could be multiple by that length of time.)

I know faking is not a good thing...it's not my philosophy. I'd rather be truthful.
But at the same time, some get really sensitive about the most natural things.
Frankly, I don't believe in holding anything against anyone...the body is a weird thing and shit will happen over time and efforts.
But feelings and emotions come into play too...after the fact.

    What do you think?
    Being real, that is.

Meaning your sex time in this situation is off the charts...but your body is just saying forget about it.

No. I usually ask to stop before this happens. I come easily, so he only needs to hang on for a few minutes, and we've been married long enough that if it isn't happening, we'll just say it.

    What Snowy wrote.

No faking from this male. It's no big deal if isn't going to happen for me, we stop when my wife's is ready to stop.

I love being married. Sunday afternoon sex with zero effort.

Me: You know what I like?
    Hubs: Buttsex?
    Me: Yesss.
Hubs: Let's get you greased up, then.

A race to the bedroom commenced.

Snowy, I really have to say that sometimes reading your posts can be a little ... distracting.

I've got to say that I'm glad that after nearly four years married and nine years together, we're still having hot, awesome sex regularly. Last night, though, was of epic proportions. My husband will occasionally have no refractory period. It's awesome. While I normally don't like sex that goes on and on, there are times when it's amazing.

I'm surprised I'm walking straight this morning. I certainly wasn't last night!

FYI - If you want to do this scientifically...got the gadget for you...
    Sexfit
    A sex odometer/pedometer and accelerometer

Get your stats, keep your stats, report on them and trend analysis.
Share them with friends (like on the TFP :D)

Hell, even keep how many calories burned, for your fitness.

Too bad it's just in prototype stage, statisticians and fitness buffs would love this

If you accumulate months of data on a spreadsheet before having regular, meaningful, heartfelt, and loving communication about your sex life with your partner, you are doing it wrong.

I have been keeping track of my sexual events (with or without partner) for years, not mere months.

This is just one aspect of monitoring my personal health, like weighing myself every day.

I took Citalopram (Celexa), an SSRI antidepressant, for six years. I didn't think it affected my libido, but with years of data from before, during, and after, I can now see that it cut my sexual activity in half.

I wasn't knocking the idea of collecting data. I was attempting to highlight the importance of quality communication.

Tried to talk about our sex life with the hubs. He, in turn, told me that talking about it is the problem. Sex isn't intellectual, sneaker! FML
