    Two minutes this morning.
We had very little time before our youngest would be awake and headed into our room.
We used the Super Snowy Morning Spooning method.
    Everyone was happy.

I don't think I've ever had sex for less than 10 or 15 minutes or so. I can't say I've ever timed myself though, so maybe it's not as long as it seems. It would be interesting to see the data broken out by age or gender instead of by state.

I think the only way would be to establish a national study.
Then build a baseline from those participant that end up saying the truth. (I don't know, monitoring, 3rd party verification, it would be a challenge)
Why? Because when it comes to sex, many have a tendency to hedge or exaggerated, if answer at all.
Then you'd have to get a broad and long term data set.
Get a mean overall, determine outliers from that, potentially whittling them out. (discussions on their context would have to determine if viable)
Only then you'd get a good categorization avg for ages and nations and other otherwise.

But I'd say, these studies have been done over and over again, at least since the 70's...if not the 90's (80's were "just say no" era)
You'd likely find them out there, with a bit of research.
Sex has been studied extensively since Kinsley and Masters & Johnson...much less any other nation that's a bit more open minded.

Seven days without. The past week was high stress, which is carrying over into this week, so it could be another week. Maybe tonight if I can resolve one stress issue.

    No way  !

In hetero encounters with no actual clockwatching, it would be interesting to see the differences in times reported for actual uninterrupted intercourse by the males and the females. I'm guessing that the guys having to maintain an erection for intercourse would report longer times than the women.

It would be very difficult to get accurate data, especially if the subjects knew in advance, or were able to guess, that intercourse duration was the focus. I've participated in some 'general' studies (not sex related) by completing lengthy questionaires where I was able to accurately guess the purpose of the study. Not that I'm clever, some of the studies were beta tests where the researchers knew the test needed tweaking.

Been there, done that, will go through it again. I wish that I could offer some sage advice. Sometimes when women aren't feeling it, they aren't feeling it no matter what you try (helpful husband, gentle seduction, dominant bad boy, etc.).

I recall reading that the average time of intercourse is a whopping 3.5 minutes.

This thread started with a report of varying sex times. I've read that 6-7 minutes is average for actual intercourse.
That doesn't take into account many other factors such as foreplay, stopping-and-starting, etc, all of which are an integral part of lovemaking/sex IMO.

It's probably unrelated, but I recall reading that the divorce rate is pretty high.

Oh boo-boo. Most people have more sex in a year than I have had my whole life.

    Oh boo-hoo back at you.

If you didn't you get any/enough when you were younger (I'm a member of this club), it's because you didn't try (I'm also a member of this club).
I've seen your recent photo, dude, and I know your age is early/mid 30s. If you're not getting any/enough now, it's because you're not trying.

And sex is way overrated  .

No, he's just leading a double life. Mild-mannered cardigan by day, drunken her-holes-are-mine socialite by night.

Best part is the ridiculous jokes that his alter ego, Dante, tells: "Hey, bro, watch this! And just call me Vlad... because I'm going to impale her."

/the best sitcoms are the NSFW ones that go on in my head
