Should NPD Trump get bounced under 14.3 with the SC's blessing...
I have some very strong feelings on how to deal with any magatards who take up arms against the government.

I was in a pawn shop/gun store today, & had to bite my tongue big time. It turns out one of the guys who's really great to talk to is a total MAGAtard who totally supports the Jan 06 insurrection.

Re, great to talk to but then....
Yeah, I've had that surprise too. Both Maga and q-anon.
Initially I thought my boss was joking about adrinochrome but he continues to mention it occasionally. Just checking for myself, it seems like it's a real substance but not really extractable, but can be synthesized in a lab. But has no real value in medicine.

I'm sure you've seen polls this week that election fraud belief has been going back up and includes a few dems too. Facepalm.

Since we've been dealing with not just the Supreme Court, but other appellate courts and courts of States...and otherwise lately.
I changed the title to indicate opening it up to any court related matter.

This should help also putting topics into other more open ended threads...and organize our posts a bit more.

    That being said....
Trump's lawyer argues that a president can order SEAL Team Six to assassinate his political rival if Congress is cool with it

Uhm, yeah...good luck with that argument.
I doubt the judges are going to agree to that scenario and opening a can of worms.

Then again, Chump doesn't have the best lawyers in the world...

Most of the appellate courts have been pretty consistent on power overreach lately....doesn't matter if they're Dem or GOP leaning or appointed by one prez or another.
I don't think they're going to leave such a wide gap in the law.
And using an example like this isn't going to win you any medals.

Assassinations of leaders is a BIG concern.
Especially since it backfired so much in the past.

And you think other nations are going to feel warm and fuzzy about this?
If we could do this to our own...what about other sovereign nations??

    I'll return to:
Under this logic Biden could do something (which I will not specify, say exactly) and be fine as long as Congress doesn't or can't nail him. Cool!!

The charges against the rioters sound fair to me, too fair, actually. But that might leave room for optional stronger charges should the SC decide the rioters are misunderstood patriots who used peaceful violence*.

It only takes four of the nine justices to decide to hear a case. Since I had to look it up here's a link.

Exclusive: Attorney General Merrick Garland says there should be ‘speedy trial’ of Trump as 2024 election looms — CNN

    Oh yeah, sure…
The same man who punted it to others
And helped drag it all out or lingered on it.

He’s the same as the other AGs or DOJ heads that tiptoed around investigations, reporting or any actions.

And allowed Chump and his cronies to suppress all the information
And delay, distract and redirect most findings and prosecution

And still you should be doing even MORE
    There’s still more to find
More people and VIPs to go after

You and the DOJ are a bunch of slugs
The court have some excuse, they have to be fair to both sides
But the DOJ should treat this like going after mobsters and terrorists

    Sit back down
    Get back to work
    Work with URGENCY

Glen Kirchner originally supported Tortoise Garland as USAG. After seeing the inaction he concludes Garland is too much of a judge trying to maintain balance, when he needs to see things as a prosecutor, & show some fire.

Man who stole and leaked Trump tax records sentenced to 5 years in prison — CNN

So this guy, gets the hammer
    But Chump lingers…

    Well, he pled guilty
Where Chump drags it out and appeals everything

He likely had one lawyer, maybe public
Chump has whole teams, multiple teams and all highly paid

This guy is a plain ol’ Joe
    Chump was prez

    Yes, it’s unbalanced.

Unfortunately, T didn’t have to release,
    Not by law, just tradition

    Even Chump has rights

No I don’t question his lack of release
I question the IRS and it’s investigation and audit
Because it’s obvious he’s committed fraud
    And likely tax evasion
The courts are doing the dirty work

Not the DOJ, IRS and other agencies supposed to be doing this.
    Do your damn job

Exclusive: Republican Hits Clarence Thomas With Lawsuit Over His Taxes

Now this should be interesting...
He'll never resign, it's not his nature. (or recuse himself)
But it should put pressure on Roberts and the rest of the court who have some ethics. (not Altio, he's just plain nuts and corrupt)

And a GOP guy filed it too...that's nice that it's a gimmee for the Dems :p

Will this case move forward, or get buried in filings/motions, delays, & appeals?

Thomas also needs to get nailed for tax fraud at the federal level. But we've seen how overly cautious (scared shitless) the IRS is going after obvious tax cheats such as NPD Trump.

Opinion | Trump’s loss in N.Y. is a powerful predictor of what’s to come in his criminal trials — MSNBC

This is in the court thread since the Chump thread is busy enough and this has to do with court trends.

And the way the courts do it is evidence
    Not influence by popular opinion
At least, the way it’s supposed to.

Chump and other thugs have a hard time with facts.
    Facts matter here.

And, the burden of proof is in his favor
The prosecutor had to prove it.

    Truth hurts
Especially if you are a scammer

Live updates: Supreme Court to decide Trump immunity claim

    Who wants to bet
    a decent cup of coffee
    (I'm cheap :D)
    this date gets pushed back?

Edit: Obviously this is huge. I'm sure The Supremes backing NPD Trump would love to let him off the hook. Can they pull it off without opening the door for Democrat presidents to also take advantage?

    Dear Citizens,

    1. Individual states do not have the right to keep a Presidential candidate off the ballot.

    2. We will not make a ruling establishing a way to enforce 14.3.

    3. One and two above are subject to change if we in the majority are against the candidate and their political party.

    4. If you do not like one, two, & three above: Too fucking bad, we have tenure for life.

    Sincerely,
    The Supreme Court Justices

I don't think the reversal of Roe V Wade will be reversed any time soon. I do have hope the SC will rule in favor of loosening some of the extreme conditions some states, Texas & Florida just to name two, have imposed.

Special counsel Jack Smith urges Supreme Court to reject Trump’s claim of immunity | CNN Politics

You gotta hand it to Smith, he's braver and more tenacious than our leadership.
They punt and linger, including Biden, and he keeps pushing to get the right thing down ASAP.

Unfortunately, SCOTUS right now is very biased and lopsided, with the ultra-conservatives in majority

They'll sit on it, then punt.
They cannot give the prez full immunity, then Biden could "take steps".

If he did, then the GOP has got its impeachment rationale finally.
But then they've got Harris, if successful.

In the end, it will become another delay tactic.
And I'm sure the courts will linger and mosey on until too late for election.

Really, in the US voters hands
and right now, they're angry and frustrated and truly burdened
and they're looking for the most likely scapegoat to lash out at. The guy at the top.

The question is, will they ignore the obvious BAD because they're MAD (in more ways than one)

SCOTUS isn't independent anymore...if it ever was...it certainly is skewed now.

My only faith is in those doing the correct thing and acting now and moving the ball forward as fast as they can.
But that's a rate thing these days. Mr. Smith surely has gone to Washington and found the same corruption as the movie.
    SSDD
