Austrian Leader Calls for Snap Election After Far-Right Vice Chancellor Resigns

REM: Russia isn't just going after the US but has instigated and caused havoc throughout many nations...especially in their own backyard or near neighboring states.

Germany, France, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, etc...and here too.
It's not just Europe either although Russia has a true focus there....but Syria, Afghanistan and so on...throughout the world.

As long as the oil flows from Russia, the chaos will flow...fully funded (much less anything the steal while hacking...but that's more of China's MO)

It is a political war, not a militaristic one so far, and Putin and the conservative dictatorships are winning. Putin is now the most powerful leader in the world. Most of the countries have lots of people who don't care or are in opposition to the leadership, but they don't have a plan or power. I didn't even go through all the smaller countries.

And I know India has a conservative leader and somewhat conservative values, but I'm not sure what is going on there. UK has a conservative leader, but I don't know which side it is on. France and Germany have somewhat center-left leaders, but the conservative movements are gaining and protesting.

Even Canada could go back to the conservatives.

Guatemala is led by someone backed by the right-wing party, but I don't know what is going on there (so it isn't red). He attempted to kick out the UN who was investigating his 2015 win, to see if he had help from outside though.

Austria's far-right party might be having some problems trying to make a secret deal with a Russian oligarch.

Australia's left wing party just lost an election they should have won. They were up in the polls going into it, yet it sounds like the last US election results. Either the media is trying to control the outcome of the election by using polls, or it isn't getting the truth.

Russia and 2016: Troll group sought to recruit 'assets' through social media, Senate told - CNN

There is one thing that I saw that I think most of the media missed. I doubt it is mentioned in this Congressional report too. It seemed that a lot more interracial (black male, white female) porn videos and pictures were getting posted to PornHub, Reddit, and 4 Chan in the weeks heading up to the election. I have a feeling that either Russia or the conservative groups will try the same tactics in about 16 months.

Russia Completes Its OPEC Takeover With Deal in Japan

This is NOT good news...Russia already plays hardball with its oil/gas monopoly in Europe.
Now to affect other players internationally.
Thankfully Venezuela is not a part of it...and the US isn't beholden to OPEC anymore.
It may be a good time to start pushing alternative fuels more.

Russia doesn't need any more leverage than it has already.
Especially since it doesn't play nice with others.
    Like a friggin' mafia gang.

Putin signs law suspending INF arms control treaty with the U.S.

    Oh, this is "special"...
Just what we need another nuclear arms race.

Or is Russia going to use this as an excuse for another move???
I know the US's own Mr. T ain't going to stop him.

Even better for Putin, it barely registered in the media.
They were focused on other important things...like Megan Markle and the holiday travel craziness...and so on.

I'd say we're our own worst enemy...but Putin is still trying for the title.

Russia Shows Off New Cruise Missile and Says It Abides by Landmark Treaty

What I don't understand is the sign in the background that says Army and not Aрмия... Since when are the Russians using english?

But it seems like instead of trying to remove the weapons from Middle Eastern countries, India, and China, that people will make more money if they are built in the USA and Russia. Either as missile defense and border protection, or as an offensive weapon system.

Administration urged to punish Turkey over Russian missile shield

They've already lost Turkey from NATO.
Erdoğan hass been won over to Russia.

Old WWII tropes are gone in that area...at least until there's a big leadership change.
Then again, the US took its eye off the ball with Turkey some years ago.

    Times have changed.
I believe the Cuban Missile Crisis where we almost had a nuclear exchange
was because Russia put missiles in Cuba, due to missiles the US put in Turkey.
    Both sides had to withdraw.

Now we've got an opposite starting scenario...

So Russia spent $1.25 million a month on an effective on-line social media campaign with a few hundred people. Yet the Democrats (and Republicans) keep begging for money in multiple e-mails, and a lot of candidates both in 2016 and 2020 are raising massive amounts of money. Many times over the $1.25 million... Yet, except for Cambridge Analytica, it seems like the national candidates have done nothing to try and flood the internet and persuade people and educate them.

Moscow targets US journalists with smears, harassment | WTOP

Seems like a full court press from Russian hackers...anyone is a target.
    It's their new investment

Then again, they get good bang for buck out of it...
Because no one on this side knows how to defend
And there's no danger to any attacker

Top Secret Russian Unit Seeks to Destabilize Europe, Security Officials Say

Want to Stop Russia From Messing With Our Democracy? Rethink U.S. Counterintelligence.

Unfortunately, we gotta start treating Russia like we all did during the Cold War
Because this cold bonfire got relit, with gasoline.

    Distrust and resist and undercut.
They attacked...and not just the US, maybe even other places more.

Just gotta put them in their place AGAIN.

And we can play nice, only when they play nice...after proof and some length of time.

Unfortunately, they've got Manchurian Candidate/leaders and instigators and backchannel allies all over now.
It's going to take a LOT to reverse this and normalize again.
Or perhaps, this is the new normal.

“Putin’s Chef”, architect of interference in 2016 election, now meddling now meddling in Africa

    Spreading the chaos...
    Sowing the seeds of discord

Putin’s MO, weakening opposition by undermining then, distract with confusion within.

    Unfortunately, we’re falling for it.
Or at least, we’ve got players ignoring it, for their convenience and power.

I wonder how many players are taking bribes??

Charges of Ukrainian Meddling? A Russian Operation, U.S. Intelligence Says

    The knot is slowly unraveling
But it’s taking longer to cut it

Due all the populist conservatives that are skeptical of any connections or even promoting the propaganda to support their “side”

Sooner or later, the tide will turn
And certain administrations will turn the gun on them
Or at least burn the web

I still wonder how many are on the payroll or getting favors or are promised future swag

We need to blow the smoke away
    And smack all the cockroaches

The issue is that Russia has changed and isn't the conservative rich killers and anti-religion atheist like they used to be. Now they are a anti-gay, white nationalist oligarchy with a side of Orthodox religion, which is pretty close to what a lot of people want the Republican Party to be.
