They need to make a museum to him.
Something that would archive and showcase every bit of media he was in...

The Foundation that he established...or his friends, celebrity supporters should sponsor and/or build it.

He'd hate it...but this is for us...keeping the enjoyment we got from him going.
And future artists can observe his methods & dynamic to build on their own routines.

And if we get another RW...then brilliant, but not likely, just others can benefit from his talents.

I know I'd go to it.
Although, it would be hard to keep breathing from laughing so much.

Now, He'd like that..."vomit bags are provided for your convenience, if you find you're laughing so hard your meal comes up through your nose"
(**said in a grand deep formal voice that RW would kick out just for that phrase... :D)

Nice set of pics over the years.

And they've just announced a bio in the works.

And I just recalled two movies of his that hit me in the right way and I still use in my banter.
    - Moscow on the Hudson
    - Bicentennial Man

If that doesn't show his range, don't know what does.

On Monday night I caught the re-run of the PBS special. Again it brought tears to my eyes.

Even though I understand the despair, emptiness, and self-medicating brought on by depression all too well, I couldn't help wanting to shake the shit out of him and ask, "Why didn't you call someone?".

This may be totally unfair and supposition on my part, but I get the feeling that his new wife may have added to the factors,
They were already sleeping in separate bedrooms...and her legal conflict with his kids after the fact doesn't give a good feeling.

But who knows?? I do know that everyone loses. :(

In a way, this is like asking someone with two broken legs why they didn't walk to the hospital.

By definition he wasn't thinking or acting rationally, asking "why didn't you do the rational thing" is basically as productive as asking "why didn't you just not kill yourself".

I know my thought wasn't rational. It was a gut reaction, a reaction to a situation over which I had no control, no involvement.

And I'd bet good money I wasn't the only person who, at the very, least wanted to ask, "Why didn't you call someone?".

Seeing the special renewed thoughts that we lost a true comic genius.

I recently added two Robin Williams films to our DVD collection of eclectic movies, One Hour Photo and What Dreams May Come. I haven't yet seen WDMC.

What Dreams May Come is a great movie, one of the few that's done that kind of surreal cinematography well.

I'm hoping so. I'm not a big fan of CGI in general, in particular when it's "more important" than pesky things like a believable plot and good acting. The premise of WDMC certainly sounds interesting.

I finally got around to watching What Dreams May Come. TBH I wasn't blown away. Robin Williams and Annabella Sciorra were very good, the CGI was spectacular (over the top for me, but that's just me). It came across as a movie that was a great idea, but didn't turn out to be a great movie. YOMBD.

    Miss him greatly.
I would love to see his jokes on all of this going on.

Hard to believe it's been so long, but it seems just like "yesterday"
But that's because he was so iconic...and his work is still everywhere.

I hope the newer generations are able learn about his humor and skills.
    Something that won't get lost.
