RIP Prince

I meant to post this a couple weeks ago...chalk artists drew a tribute in my hometown.




They went back over it about a week later with some higher quality chalk :

 

What street is that on? I keep seeing pictures of it. I don't recognize that building, but I don't think I would even if I was physically in front of it.

 

It's on the corner of Broad and Reynolds. A block (or maybe two) over from where I *think* the practice space used to be. Basically, if you're coming from Madison, you drive down Central and turn right before the pawn shop intersection.

That little area has changed a lot, and it's actually kinda nice now. There's the Canal House bar & grill (where this is), Triple Moon Coffee, a tiny little grassy area where they do movies in the summer (and where the bands play at the Broad Street Bash), and the Pendleton Arts Center (where the Back to The Future Dance was held.)

 

For some reason this song has been going through my head on repeat for the past couple of weeks.

 

It wasn't a flu that killed him.

It was drug over-dose that killed Prince. The drug I can't remember the name of but the drug is likened to 'heroin on steroids' and making love on a bed of rose petals & eating a cheeseburger all at the same time.

Fentanyl is lovely. I have to get it instead of propofol for sedation due to allergies. I can see how people get hooked.
